A good physical challenge

The course is located in a beautiful part of the Lake District and the views at many points of the course are stunning. A very demanding walk with some tee shots unfairly punished by side sloping fairways and heavy rough but a really enjoyable challenge.

A gem of a course

Varied interesting holes with lots of hills. . Not a flat boring course!😀 Magnificent views of Cumbria and Lake District. The fairways and greens were in lovely condition and the members couldn’t have been more helpful.

Rushed, felt a waste of money

Arrived 50 minutes early to warm up and stretch properly before teeing off, to then be told by quite a rude member of staff behind the counter that there was an error with the booking system and we had to tee off asap giving no time to practice putt or loosen up hitting some balls in the net, also wasn’t mentally prepared to tee off straight out of the car at a new course.

And then being held up at every tee box by multiple slow 4 balls in front.

Bad experience and a waste of money for a day out, won’t be returning here.

A must play course

A very welcoming course, the professional shop was very helpful. Considering the recent bad weather, the course was in great shape, very fast greens. The views are spectacular, but you have to earn the right to see them, it is a bit hilly, but worth it

Fantastic views

Fantastic views of the Cumbrian hills and mountains on this scenic course.

Buggy hire well worth considering due to the testing terrain.

Black coloured flags and sticks difficult to spot in the distance on some holes.

Challenging course but well worth the effort for the panoramic vistas of the surrounding countryside

Well worth the effort

Not played here for a few years, but really pleased I played it this week.

Due to poor weather across the country for last several months, I was expecting some wet areas on this course - NOT SO! Everywhere was dry underfoot and the ball bounced and ran freely. I have marked the course down only slightly because a couple of the greens had a bit of moss on them and there are two places where holes cross over - not a fan of these but sight lines are good so you only have to beware of idiots not paying attention.

A good challenge for any golfer and with spectacular views in numerous places.

Thanks to pro who advised me to tee off earlier than planned to avoid being stuck behind some slower groups.
