First time
Great course. Wide fairways lovely greens. Amazing views. We will be back.
pace of play
tee off time 10.56 pro shop told me to go at 10.25 as there was a gap,Finished my round as a single player at 14.30! don't need the speil about comps, should have been told before my round started
Coursereview
We thoroughly enjoyed playing the course. It was very well maintained, provided a lot of variety on the course. The course was in very good condition and provided plenty of challenges. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely return.
Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club
Fabulous day out. Course was perfect especially the greens
Disappointing
The fairways hadn't been cut so only half the ball was visible so there was no running and it was difficult or not possible to use fairway woods and the rough was a hack out job. It was also difficult to find the ball as the course was covered in daisies. We were following a society and had to wait on every tee. We won't be rushing back. Didn't bother going into the bar.
Great round at Kirkby Lonsdale
Having played here last summer and been disappointed following some wet weather I found the course to be in very good condition and challenging.
Each hole is interesting and has its own level of difficulty.
Long holes, raised greens, doglegs and blind drives this course is fantastic. If the different holes don’t occupy you the views will.
Great value for money and I will be going back.
Great course, shame about the winter greens
I play here quite regularly as it is local to me and I can often find a good deal. The course is set in a beautiful area, the facilities are good and the greens tend to be really well looked after.
We were on winter greens for 17 of the 18 holes and my one criticism would be of the standard of the winter greens - some were nigh on impossible and resembled first cut rough rather than even fairway. Despite this we had a great round and thoroughly enjoyable time. The bacon butties half way round are well worth investing in too! We will be back!
First time at course.
Very enjoyable parkland course. Excellent views. Course a little heavy after overnight rain. Greens had been treated so not the best otherwise condition of course was very good. Definately a course i would recommend.
Lovely Views and Tough Rough!
Enjoyable course without being too testing - if you stay on the (wide) fairways.
Great Course
Can't fault the course, in fact I would go as far as saying it was a real pleasure to play it, I did expect a much smaller course but that isn't the case, with no one holding us up (2 of us) it still took about 4 hours ish! Beautiful settings and a very well groomed course, ground staff doing a great job. We didn't tee off until 5:36pm and there wasn't anyone there to show our booking to, hence not marking the staff and amenities boxes. Great experience and will definitely be playing there again.
Great course in a fantastic location
After a week of playing courses in Scotland in the pouring rain, we decided to play Kirby Lonsdale on the way home. We weren't disappointed. The sun was out, the sky was blue and the course was in perfect condition. Full marks to the groundstaff. The course layout is brilliant with several doglegs and water hazards. And the views of the surrounding countryside are amazing.. Highly recommended.(16hcap)
Wonderful views throughout
Great course
Excellent condition.
Interesting layout
friendly staff and course
Very overcast on the day, but we had a nice game of golf followed by a drink, bacon butties and chips, would have liked to see a better selection draft ales.
Sunshine round
Great weather, pleasant staff in shop, course offers a variety of holes which are testing, only draw back today was the greens were slow and not running true.
Overall a great day out in beautiful sunny weather played at my tempo
Wonderful course, wonderful views
Kirkby Longsdale is a great course set in fantastic surroundings. There are some very interesting holes and the fairways were well manicured. The use of natural undulations on the course is excellent. A fantastic course in beautiful surroundings!
Good Course Awesome Scenery
This is a lovely golf course set in the countryside just outside of Kirby Lonsdale. The scenery is fantastic with views of Barbon Fell and the Howgills in the distance.
The course itself is nicely laid out and has some interesting features, it's not too long or difficult but you do need a decent level of fitness as it's quite undulating.
We played in the winter and although the ground was obviously soft it wasn't too muddy.
I would definitely play there again.
