Undulating Fairways Tiresome.
Decent course, spoilt slightly by undulating fairways which are quite annoying when pushing your trolley!
Only one hole on the clubhouse side, then you cross the road to play the rest of the course.
In great shape.
Greens in great shape, fairways as well manicured as I've seen them at Morpeth.
Nice course with a fair amount of challenges
First time playing Morpeth in a lot of years. Course was very good, fairways ran well and greens although just been treated where in good condition. The pace was good even though we followed the women's comp. Overall very happy with the game and would recommend anyone to give it a go.
Great variety !
Long-LONG -par 4s, short ones too, lovely par 3s, and par 5s to boot, Morpeth has everything.Because of the layout, with approaches both downhill and uphill, I found judging distances frustrating. But that's golf! With the sun shining, and good company I had a very enjoyable day. P.s... I hadn't played Morpeth for 10 years ( golf society used to visit, back in the day )and Morpeth then had a reputation for being a little " snooty " , one which I have to say, I agreed with. However, all the fellow golfers I chatted to, male and female, couldn't have been nicer and more wellcoming. Maybe Morpeth has woken up to what is really going on in the golfing world ( difficult times for most clubs? ) I would recommend Morpeth Golf Club to one and all. I may well try to visit with The Mortimer Golf Society, next year.
