Worth Playing

Found the staff to be very friendly. After just coming through the winter the course was in very reasonable condition. Found alot of the greens to be very fast. Due to the hard work of the green keepers this course will be in tip top within the next few weeks,

Good, but annoying green keepers.

I’v played at Newcastle Utd a good few times now. For March, the course was in excellent condition, no winter greens which I thought there would be because of the low price £10.99.

The greens were VERY fast but in nice condition. The fairways were a bit furry in places and hard to distinguish from the actual rough.

The green keepers were out mowing as we were playing, they must have been present on at least 7 of the first 9 holes. It felt like they were following us around. Rather annoying as it was 11am, might just be me but I thought they did the mowing and stuff early in the morning. Playing really bad probably added to the annoyance.

£10.99 is a good price for a really good, tough course. Would return, would recommend.

Great course great service

Cold winters day and this course still provided me and my mate some enjoyment. Granted it was cold and I wore my mittens but I enjoyed the course and the lads in the pro shop were so funny most I’ve laughed at a golf club in ages. All round good experience and I will be be back.

Rude Staff, Poor Course, Wouldn’t Recommend

We went today (26th Jan) to play golf only to be greeted by a man who can only be described as very, very rude. Having looked at the website (after trying to book a slot to play online for at least 30 minutes- with no luck) we saw no issue with us rocking up; having eventually managed to book.

The man on the counter thought it fun to ignore us for a good few minutes before eventually telling us we couldn’t play because of a rule he seemingly made up on the spot- clearly discriminating against us due to being ‘poor’ uni students.

That being said, I would like to thank this man for saving us £36.00. I would never dream of giving money to a place with so little regard for their customers.

I wouldn’t recommend this course if you enjoy being treated with any grace and decorum.

Challenging but repetitive

Felt that whilst it was well kept the fairways were all very bouncy with unfavourable lies and majority of holes were very simple with no real obstacles

Not impressed

Found this course fairly boring to be honest although the back 9 is a lot better that the front 9 also I played this course in high winds which probably made it even less impressive but there is no cover of trees are anything it is a very open course with poor views of flats and houses.

On the plus side we only payed £11.00 for a round which is what it is worth in my opinion but still one of the cheapest around.

I won’t be playing this course again but if you’re not a fan of courses with lovely views and nice scenery I can recommend this course.

Decent enough fairways, bunkers. the rough is a bit out of hand. If your ball goes slightly off course then you’ve lost it. Was very busy today and resulted in a very slow round. I don’t mind playing here for a bit if practice but wouldn’t pay any more than I did.

Superb autumn golf

Course in great shape given heavy rain the day before. Bunkers were understandably unplayable. Rest of the course was faultless
