Owston Hall Golf Resort

Good day all round got there a little early but the staff member was brilliant he allowed me to start my round early. Fairways and Greens was in great condition. The pace of the course was great no issues even With starting early, this was a big bonus because the heavens opened up just has I finished.

Played at owston several times it's an excellent course - the only facility it's lacking is driving range - hence the good overall rating should be 9.5+ .

I can see where you have done work on the course this yar to improve it but basics first surely! Please put some 150 posts on the holes that dont have them.

I went with my grandson today., it was his first time playing golf for him. It was well laid out and the correct pace and place to be able to teach him.

Could not fault anything about the my round.

The layout and condition of the course is fantastic as are the staff!

I would highly recommend and I’d love to return when in the area again.

Finished my round at 5 went to the bar for a nice refreshing drink no Bar staff in sight waited a good 5 or 6min no one come.. get some bar staff..

This course has changed massively, a completely new layout, and not for the better... however it has to be said, for the money, this a decent course, and if you're looking for golf on a budget, you should give it a try. The course is well maintained and in good condition, the greens aren't the best, but they're reasonable

Course in great condition, greens bang on. Great pint after in the fantastic bar. Long grass led to a few lost balls and missing 150 markers the only negatives, but minor niggles and looking forward to visiting again soon.

Still good condition, although drying out in places, and some greens were getting g dry and patchy. Overall, a great course for the money, especially if you can get a hot deal.

Amazing conditions looks like alot of time and money is going into the course and hotel.

Mostly well maintained, especially the greens. Some challenging holes, although many shorter par 4s.

Played here a few times in the past and the halcyon days of the 7000 yard monster of a course hosting pga events are long gone

I’m amazed to see what people are prepared to put up with when out golfing

One fella said the course was 3 stars apart from the tees greens and fairways which were poor

Ah well at least the car park and clubhouse were ok !!

Another said the “fescue” reminds him of the Scottish links

That’s just where the groundsman couldn’t be bothered to cut it mate!!

All joking aside I’m shocked to see a lot of the bad reviews have been removed in an effort to hoodwink people into believing things are vastly improved here, they are not and manipulating a four star rating can’t cover up the mountain of work required to bring this course back to life

It’s still a bombsite with little or no Signage and the watch still won’t work to help

Greens aren’t so bad but it’s mid summer!

That’s a given!

If your happy here fair enough, but be honest and look with a critical eye, it’s your money they’re taking and you deserve better

Easy to get walk and relaxing time nice place to sit and have a drink after nice day.
