i played next a woman and A man almost to learning too slowly they didn't call back me next hole too early dark and about 4 hours spent in worsen times!

I liked to play golf well there

The course is in very poor condition

Greens are terrible

Tee boxes are terrible

Hole 1 seems like it’s been made up from a temporary practice hole

AVOID THIS COURSE

Greens not really playable, but I do realise jobs have to be done, and a 5 ball playing a couple of holes in front of us holding a 2 ball up

I really enjoy playing here. Excellent mature course, a veritable pleasure to walk around. And a major improvement for us was the distance markers, finally.

The clubhouse is a wonderful building, excellent bar, and a dining area.

Thoroughly enjoyed the day, even if I did play very average golf. Though only me to blame.

And a very well priced tee off time.

Excellent course, great layout, greens where in fantastic condition. We had a friendly welcome in the pro shop (visitors aren’t treated any different) only negative is the tee boxes need some attention. Would definitely play again

As you drive in it’s a beautiful looking hall, parking was ok and close to the first tee. There is a beautiful pond with some nice koi carp in. The course is in beautiful nick and is well looked after. It’s quite a good course for a new golfer as the holes are a nice length but not too long. The green are nice and flat to start off with as you start playing the course. As you go through the gates to some of the later holes the greens and lay up to them are more challenging and there are some water hazards which I really liked. I brilliant course for the price and will definitely be going back even though it took about an hour to get too for me.

Defiantly the best price ever for a £8-£12 18 hole course. Really good and every-time I go it seems to be improving! The bunkers have gone from a 3/10 to a 7/10. It used to be the stoney gravelly bunker but now it’s proper sand.

I played today and the staff were nice and friendly. I was stuck behind two 2 balls and the first pair were painfully slow and didn't let anyone through.

Pros:

Fairways were in very good order

Fairways were very tight and a challenge to find

Bunkers were full of nice fluffy sand

Friendly staff

Cheap enough at £16 for single player

Cons:

Greens looked liked they had taken a beating - people who play here don't seem to know how to repair their divots!

Bunkers were not raked by players who had been in them

Bunkers had grass and weeds growing in them

There is plenty of spare space so I don't understand why the greens and tee boxes are on top of each other on many of the holes

First time playing after about 8 years have to say the course was in really nice condition the fairways were impressive and the greens were mid to fast and really we managed, for the price I would definitely recommend you give this course a go, front 9 were steady and I shot to my handicap but the back 9 requires your A game and me and my son thoroughly enjoyed playing. We will be back to crack that back 9. I’d give it a 7.5/10 as the tee boxes need some love

Nice course. Greens were well kept and fast. Mix of difficulty. Would definitely play here again.

Some challenging holes and some more forgiving. Course is very well kept and has some great deals available. Be wary of the postcode as it doesn't take you to the correct place. Head purely to owston hall and the golf reception is within the hall

Great value for the money would recommend to anyone

Overall course was in great condition only let down by the greens been lumpy

Great course unfortunately fell ill on 12th but a fellow golfer in group behind rang the clubhouse who very kindly came to my rescue with a buggy and took me back to my car many thanks for that will play again.

First time playing here great course set out and enjoyed it some testing holes overall happy with it. Bad points fairways we're abit long guessing not been able to cut because of weather tee boxes bit rough and bunkers were very poor but would still play it again as enjoyed the round
