Perfect weather
Walked

Worth a go if its been dry for a while

Teed off at 3:15pm on a sunny Friday afternoon. The course was quiet and we had no hold ups nor were followed around.

The course was in great condition generally as it'd been dry for some weeks (often suffers with flooding in really wet weather). Fairways well cut and rough not too penal. The bunkers are good quality and reward good shots. No stones or bare lies, just nice fluffy stuff. Greens were a little bumpy and inconsistent but I'm being picky. The course is a great all round test and is not too long either.

Both really enjoyed the course. Will go again and for £16.00 each "hot deal" its was a steal.

Will definitely be back

It was our first time playing Pike Hills and we were not disappointed. The course is well kept with all greens and fairways well managed and cared for. Staff at the pro shop were friendly and gave us a few tips on the course when asked ahead of our tee off. Its a challenging course with a few long dog legs and blind tee spots but very rewarding when you play the right shot. Will definitely be back soon for another round.

Pace of Play

The course is in great condition with fast, challenging greens. We were booked for 12pm and teed of a few minutes early behind a 4 ball. Half way up the 2nd hole we allowed a single player through as we were a 3 ball. From thereon in we waited on every single shot, not because of the single player, but the 4 ball. This slow rate of play spoiled what could have been a great day.

Lovely course and setting being so close to major road

Enjoyed the course. A little disappointed by either the club official or member ( not sure) who approached myself and my guest on arrival to tell us in a slightly aggressive way that we had approached the car park in the wrong direction and should have observed the one way system. We were first time visitors, the signage was not particularly clear, and I think a more helpful approach would have been more appropriate.

Plotters Course

I enjoyed the challenge of the round. It’s quite short but it tests you with your accuracy for fairways and greens. The only downside was amount of substandard golfers being allowed on the course which lead to very slow play and a long round.

Great value, good course condition and a nice welcome

Booked Pike Hills for a quick 9 hole round on my way to York for an event. Overall, the course was in really good condition and the greens played nice. Staff in the Pro Shop and Clubhouse were very friendly and welcoming. Would definately return for the full 18 holes in the future.

Course in good condition

Lovely round, great weather, and the course and greens were very good. round in 3hrs 40. the strange crossing of the 17th fairway by the 16th and 18th could slow up play if it was busy. Will play again

March Sunday golf

Really good condition for the time of year and overall a really enjoyable round of golf. We were teeing off mats which made some holes a lot shorter. We would defo come back.
