The course is well laid out with some interesting holes around water/marsh features. The greens were very good for mid Oct as were the tee areas. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.

Little gem in North Yorkshire

I had been told good things about this course and i wasn't disappointed, nice club house, driving range and very friendly staff and members and a cracking price was had, the course is a little hilly so i hired a buggy a little surprised buggys were allowed late in the season but course was dry enough,tees were scuff free and the course was well maintained with good greens running true, a nice touch was a ash felt path running along the side of the course so easy for a first timer to navigate if they want to cut short a round ,all in all a great day.

One for the list!

After reading reviews about the course before booking I have to say I was intrigued about the challenge that we would face …. And I wasn’t disappointed.

If you haven’t played this course previously, it’s one for your list.

Best described as parkland course which starts off open fairways and then throws in some interesting water holes and tree lined fairways to keep all levels of golfer focussed.

What it loses on final quality of greens, tees & fairways (OK to Good 4/5) it makes up for in a really good mix of challenging holes.

Had read some negative comments about staff friendliness but in both the pro shop and bar we were met with great service and individuals.

I travelled a fair distance to play this course so whilst I won’t play it often I will certainly look forward to playing again.

Welcoming and friendly staff

First time playing the course so wasn't sure where I was going or how to get to the range before my round.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and welcoming to golfers of all standards.

The course has some nice features and was in pretty good condition. I played late afternoon and the price was very reasonable for the quality of course.

Will definitely be back.
