Great Course, Great Day

Brilliant course in great condition. Some very challenging holes, with great sea views. Greens and fairways very good, very few on course and pace of play excellent. Will play again soon.

Wide-boy pro shop staff, with poor attitude towards bargain hunting visitors!

Customer facing, Pro shop staff, clearly in the wrong job.. Attitude to visitors was really poor, and they seem to hold the fact you use a golf deal website like Golfnow against you as opposed to paying their inflated visitor fee direct to them!

Also had issues before when trying to use 241 vouchers, they take them, but don't actually allow two golfers to play for one day rate greenfee!
Bizarrely they have problems understanding how that particular scheme works in practice!

Unfriendly, unhelpful, curt, and bordering on rude!

Course layout is actually quite good, conditions sadly not so great.. Facilities are decent enough, nice clubhouse, and staff inside a level or two above those in the pro shop, although we waited over 20 minutes to get a drink, whilst the solitary bar staff was away changing a barrel!

Two new holes once you come back over the main road, are a reall let down compared with the rest of the course, with the look, and feel being out of place, best holes are the the last four or five into the clubhouse!

Go play Filey or North Cliff instead, both are a cut above!

Scarborough Fantastic

Played thursday 130pm in glorious sunshine with fantastic views. The greens were in excellent condition for the time of year hollow tined but smooth, course well maintained. Once you play thr opening two holes and cross the bridge you enter the part of the course with stunning views over cliffs looking up to Scarborough then when you think it cant get any better than this you enter the back nine which produces more inland gems, Very enjoyable.
