Friendly staff, very limited restrictions over winter and just a really well laid out undulating course.Pleasure to play.

Really enjoyed the afternoon at Stand. The course was in great condition considering we’re in October and the greens were in good condition to. Pace of play excellent as not to busy.

Tricky course nice greens just had a problem with two lads who were too busy with their phones rather than taking there next shot

I was working in the area so decided to book here. So glad I did. Set off too early and arrived 2 hrs before tee time but the pro got me out straight away. Really nice course with some challenging holes. Course knowledge would definitely be an advantage here!

Will certainly be back again when I’m next in the area.

We played the course on Sunday 7th August, the course was in great condition, with the only thing letting the course down was the condition of the bunkers; specifically a lack of sand, bunkers without rakes and near on unplayable lies due to condition.

Otherwise, for £20 per person teeing off at 3pm on a Sunday, the course was faultless.

The course is superb. All fairways are tree lined but the rough is kept reasonably short for the odd shot offline. There's always a shot back to the fairway. The course has lots of variety of hole types which keeps you on your toes! Lots of nice views. The professional came out and talked through the route around the course, which was very helpful. The members in the 19th were very welcoming. Great place for a knock. The greens are top notch!

Highly recommend this course. Course was in perfect condition but pro in the shop said the green keeper wants the greens fast. Couldn’t fault the course 5* for me.

If you like playing golf using course management then this course is for you but if you like smashing driver on every hole, you’ll have to wait until the back 9 as the driver in the front 9 will bite you if not driven straight.

Can’t wait to play again.

Course was quiet when I played (12pm on a Friday) which for a course of this quality, I was surprised! Staff friendly and helpful. Course is well kept, fairways are a little bare and burnt but nothing to moan about at all. Greens are in fantastic condition. Some bunkers had a few too many stones in, but had a decent amount of sand. Overall, very good - will be returning with my Dad (who can only play courses with buggies, which they do hire at £15)

First time playing Stand and I was impressed. The conditions were great and the greens were all very consistent. There was a comp on at the same time so there was a bit of waiting around but not as much as expected. Will be back to play again!

Second time of playing this course and it doesn’t get easier. Course was in amazing condition and the club pro was very friendly and informative about how best to play it. It’s a very hilly course and can be a hard slog in parts which definitely tests your fitness. Great day of golf with friends but needed a Kip afterwards (absolutely knackered). Would definitely play again

Top course the greens are perfect condition, love the lay out theres some nice tricky par 3s too, would defo recommend playing here
