Great greens, terrible pace of play
Greens are in fantastic condition at the moment (late September 2021), ok pace 10ish, but perfectly groomed, that was the highlight.
Pace of play was horrific, course wasn't extra busy, mainly two balls, three balls singles. People reluctant to let you play through. Terrible and slow two ball first, then 3 yuppies who would just run to next tee to tee off and than take it at stupidly slow pace. 4 hour round, there was no reason for 5 minute waits on every tee. Haven't seen a course marshal all day.

Enjoyable course
Like this course because of it's variety. Haven't played the course for a couple of years but enjoyable as every and well-maintained. Greens in pretty good condition - got faster as the autumn dew evaporated

Incredibly slow play
Amazing course. However high green fee and I can’t help but think they overbook the course to max that out. After 4hrs 20mins I had reached hole 13. We had to abandon play because the pace was just outrageous slow.
In fairness to my above review I complained and the management were very fair and invited us back to play. As stated course is outstanding so perhaps I just caught it at a particularly bad day

Well worth a visit
I'd wanted to play this course for ages and it didn't disappoint. Felt welcome, pace of play was great and the course was in great shape.

Course is fine but
I have played this course three times and each time there has been an issue with kids messing about near the tied and fourth hole .One kid kicked a friends ball off the green .Another irritation is that you can’t get a bottle of water when you book in like you can at about every other course in the land. You have to queue up at the bar where other people are getting big rounds in to get a drink of water or Coke. When eventually you do get served you pay £3 for a bottle of coke which is way more than Celtic Manor or the Belfry.The course is nice and well kept but there is room for improvement in other areas.

First Time in 9 years... will be back
Played many years ago when course was a work in progress, as was the club house, really enjoyed the round, as a high-ish handicapper was glad water wasn't in play as much as I thought it would be, the biggest challenge being the undulating nature of the course, which also has some really tricky greens. Will definitely be back, but perhaps with a buggy !

A really great course, highly recommend!
Played this course for the first time yesterday, having lived in the area for the last 7 years, wow what we have been missing.
The course is immaculate maintained and the layout of the holes is quite forgiving any wayward shots away from the fairways.
Will definitely be coming back.

Amazing course
Play most of the courses within this budget around Surrey and have to say it is superb. Long old walk, I highly recommended a buggy. Picturesque course true greens. Couldn’t of asked for more.

Enjoyable but…
Fairly new club
We played this yesterday and absolutely loved the course apart from the cart/ trolley tracks, they were an absolute nightmare and they would be the only reason to put me off returning.

I am sorry to hear that you felt you had a slow round on the day and that other golfers were not following etiquette. It should normally take 4 hours to play a round here, but the course marshal should had been present, so very disappointing to hear that you did not see anyone.
