Lovely course with some challenging greens

First time on this course and really enjoyed it. The greens and green side bunkers offered challenges, as did water hazards and fairway bunkers! The only negative is that the holes all run alongside one another, and because you are playing high to low or low to high (lots of hills) there are lots of times when you are at risk of hitting, or being hit by a ball. I’ve never heard so many FORE shouts on a round of golf. Friendly staff in clubhouse and golf shop. I have already booked to play again.

Enjoyable challenge

Played on a windy afternoon. The course is in perfect condition and as long as you know where you’re going it’s a good layout, a few blind shots but plenty of room to bail out onto neighbouring fairways if needed. The wind mate it a fair challenge for the front nine. But it died off for the back nine and was really enjoyable. Some fantastic tee shots and good sized greens make for a very enjoyable round.

Challenging but great

played a a 2 ball this afternoon, course itself is well maintained. Some challenging holes made for some great golf shots. Greens a little sandy but besides that couldn't fault the course. Will definitely be back.

Great place

Got stuck in traffic so rang the Pro shop who said if i didnt make the tee time they would slot us in when i arrived. Made it with 30 seconds to spare ( best way to warm up !!!! ) Played a fourball with 2 others and my partner , we had a good round with me been the " Tour Guide " for the other 3 virgins . Light occasinal rain did not spoil what is a wonderful course with very fast greens . Tip of the day, land on the greens to leave an uphill putt !!!!

Course is a lovely layout and greens are very quick, great view too. Can't complain at pace of play. This is a difficult course for a high handicapper and it destroyed myself and my confidence to the point I wanted to walk off. Do not let this deter anyone as it's a great course. I'll be back when the confidence returns

Nice course, excellent greens

Course in very good condition. Beautiful greens, quite fast but very true. There are some blind shots, but the fairways are relatively generous. A straight 3-wood off the tees will serve just as well as a driver in many cases. Will definitely come back.

Cracking Golf Course

Had a brilliant day at Tyneside Golf Course, this was our first visit, the facilities were brilliant, the course was challenging, very undulating, reminded me of some hilly courses we played on the Costa Del Sol, it was in immaculate condition, a few narrow fairways, some stunning scenery, the views from the 10th & 11th tees amazing. The staff were brilliant & inparticular the pro shop staff were excellent friendly, gave us lots of information on playing the course & genuinely really pleased to see us visiting their club during the current times, definitely recommend, its a proper challenge for any golfer, will be back for sure, thoroughly enjoyable.

Slow Play Spoiled The Day

The layout of the course was very congested with lots of blind shots and bell ringing to say it was clear, (although this wasn't always observed so it was hit and hope you didn't hit someone.

The pace of play was so slow that if the ninth hole was closer to the car park (it was furthest from) we would have walked off. The fourteenth was closest so off we went, four hours up to that point.

Good course though in good condition.

Great nick post lockdown

The course was very well kept, good true greens. Front nine lulls you into a false sense of security as the back nine requires a little more energy due to a few more hilly holes. Lovely course, surprised myself having never played it before, but will definitely return.

Hot & sticky

I've played Tyneside a fair few times and always enjoyed it. The course is always in great condition. This particular day it was extremely hot and sticky. Not due to the sun but the sheer humidity. I was dripping in sweat from the first green to the last. it's the only time I've been pleased to get to the end of the round on this lovely course.
