One of the best

Course was in excellent condition on a hot and sticky day. Decent pace of play and another enjoyable round. This is one of my favourite courses in the North East and we even managed to book a round for £12 ! If you haven't yet played Tyneside and are after a challenging round of golf then give it go. If I lived closer to the course I'd seriously consider becoming a member.

1 of the best in the North East

Absolutely outstanding course. Always in excellent condition between March and November. I cant comment about the winter months as I play Sharpleys during the winter. Every hole at Tyneside has great features. Very well looked after. Great value for money. Very friendly staff. Will return time and time again.

Have played Tyneside many times and it is always in very good condition. Greens were rolling well for the time of year and bunkers are nice to play from. Hole 8 was out of service which no one told us about until we got to it but luckily because we were just a 2 ball it didn’t spoil our game but have to knock a star off the ‘value for money’

Excellent course but....

I played as a singleton. Two groups of three waved me through on the first nine. However I caught up a three ball on the 12th and despite no one in front of them I was never let through and waited on every shot. On the 18th the group who waved me through on the 9th caught up and apologised for the group in front. They explained that the three ball in front never let anyone through. Why are there such selfish and notorious golfers in a club spoiling things for other members and visitors? Other reviews mention this too!

The pro was ever so helpful and friendly as indeed all other staff and members.

Course was in excellent condition for Autumn.

Great condition and interesting holes

First time I've played here. There was only 2 of us and found it very frustrating to be stuck behind a slow 4 ball with no golf etiquette as they didn't allow us to play through. It got so bad waiting we decided to skip the 7th and walk ahead of them. Thanks!

On the positive there is some fabulous holes, very testing and the course was in great condition despite the recent heavy rain. The layout isn't the best as a lot of holes are very close to each other with numerous 'fore' shouts which can make you nervous.

One of the finest

Found this course during a visit to Northumberland in March 2017 and enjoyed it so much, we wanted to return and play it again. It didn't disappoint this time with the course in great condition, despite the recent snow and heavy rains. Many thanks to the club pro, who even lent me his golf brolly as I had left mine back at home. Will definately be plying here again

Snow Golf @ Tyneside

Well recommended course so was looking forward to playing. It was a snowy February day so expectations were not too high however we were disappointed to find that every hole* was using a winter green (some of which meant an element of “crazy golf” was in play).

*9th hole was actually closed so we only played 17 holes......and one of the par 3s had been reduced to a downhill 45yard chip!

Nonetheless we could see that this is a very well laid out and attractive course and will look to play again in the summer when we can fully appreciate it.

First Class course

Even in November on a cold and slightly windy day this course is a gem. Lovely fairways, still with a good amount of roll. Greens were just a delight and the course has a good variety of holes.

Great course and as the other reviews state it is a hidden Jem. Only down side was following two ladies who's pace of play was on the slow side.
