Poor hole signage and no advanced warnings of course condition.
We were disappointed to find on arrival, several holes were closed and playing off mats on the fairway and several holes on winter greens.. Advanced warning of course conditions would be appreciated. Also, because of the hole closures there were no directions to the next hole. Not the best experience of this course.
Interesting, flat course
Great course, thinking man's course. Welcoming pro ( Gary). Fairly flat, good greens. Only small gripe .... Had to play off mats on the fairway and in the rough. Otherwise superb value for under £15.

Last minute booking, friendly pro (Gary) .welcoming members, very interesting course. Good greens. Will definitely be back.

Brilliant
Second time playing at Werneth and it’s brilliant, would defiantly recommend
Really compact course narrow fairways and a valley running through the course makes it one you gotta think round,greens wernt the best but the area had really heavy rain early in the year

Clubhouse staff fantastic friendly food is always on and is superb definitely be playing this more
Interesting course but disappointing condition
The course is interesting, however the greens weren’t in great condition and needed some attention.
First time at Werneth
After so much rain recently wasn’t expecting too much but was really pleasantly surprised at how good the greens were so really enjoyed putting for the first time in quite a while! The rough was thick and matted with grass cuttings but only to be expected, am sure they’ll improve over the next days. Decent putting green and practice net adjacent to the 1st tee so really handy to maximise warm-up and practice time. Only slight grumble re course for a first-time player with a trolley, not all the crossings over the ravines on-course are trolley-friendly (steps) and in some cases you need to move a hole or two over to find one that is as they aren’t all visible… we were given a course map as well as cards (very helpful) so adding this info would help us newbs avoid bouncing down and up the steps!! Staff and content of bar and pro shop excellent and friendly so overall really good day out and will be back again soon thanks.. thanks!
Great course
Roughs still a little long and some parts of ground a bit soggy but a great course to play with the danger of balls going down the general gully.
Green keepers were mowing so I think it'll be getting better all summer.
