Walked

Two steps forward, one big step back

Played this course several times and enjoyed it.

There have been some changes including some good bunkers added (eg 7th) and walkways. However, the greens were pretty poor. Lots of un repaired pitch marks and plenty of bare patches which made putting a lottery. Shame as I have thought the greens were decent before.

Will be back but will probably wait until summer.

Good to get out and play

Greens were still very good, fairways seemed to not be holding up as well as previous years although may have caught it on a bad day.

Will be back at some point

Great local course

First visit for a lot of years and it's improved massively, bunkers all redesigned and some new tees to make it longer. Nice to see it improving.

Brilliant Weather Lovely, fairways in good condition but green had been hollow tined and were heavily sanded, 18th hole was closed when we got there.

Great course, but clubhouse shuts early!

Friendly staff on arrival. The course is in great condition - tees fairways and greens all well maintained, and good views from most holes along the coast. No issues with slow play. Clubhouse looks utilitarian and was closed when we finished our round at 5:00.

Great course conditions

The course has well kept greens and good fairway/rough. The course is easy to navigate but the holes are quite close together and mainly short. Experience was sullied by someone confronting me about my pace of play which wasn’t justified as I was generally waiting for a trio in front and shooting max of triple bogey. I’m a beginner and was shooting some great shots until this person made me feel uncomfortable which completely threw my game. I would always expect a positive and patient attitude towards new and learning golfers. Whilst not the fault of the golf club it did affect my overall experience

Early morning, blowing a gale

Early morning round in terrible weather. Had the course to ourselves bar a few puffins, oystercatchers and Gulls. Greens and fairways immaculate. Stunning costal views. Only negative was the 19th was closed on completion and could have murdered a bacon sandwich and a coffee.

Roughly decent

I like Whitburn. A chance to open your shoulders without too many concerns about the rough, which rarely comes into play.Course’s big defence is the wind. Greens even paced and true.

Local Gem

I live locally to Whitburn and have had several family members who have played their golf at Whitburn GC. The course offers fine sea views being set on the hill and cliffs above Marsden Bsy.

The course is presented in an exceptional manner. The greens keepers do a great job of maintaining the course. Greens are true and consistent without being overly fast. It is not a long course, however gradients and wind direction make it a good, honest test.

Cool little lynx course with great views

Small greens on a few holes make it difficult but a course I’d definitely play again

It was raining and windy but still great to play

Recommend a round here
