Esplanade Golf & Country Club at Lakewood Ranch

Greens r a nightmare, just been punch last week. Missed 9 birdie putts and one eagle putt. Ya blame it on the greens or the beer . Lol fun time!!

Course was in decent shape. Greens were recently punched made for bumpy putting .

I live in the Sarasota area and there is no shortage of nice golf courses. Esplanade stands out with it’s quality and excellent care of the course and customer!!

I’ve played this course twice. It’s a fairly easy layout and has wide fairways. Course is always in excellent condition.

I have played this course many times and the amenities are awesome. Great practice area. Course was in awesome shape and greens were quick. Great pace of play. I recommend playing here.

Loved playing Esplanade again after a few years. Everything about the course is top notch. The layout is challenging, yet fair. Fairways, rough and greens are always in great shape. Although the greens were somewhat fast, it was just a matter proper judgement on the speed.

1st time playing this course. Terrific layout and the course was in great condition. Greens still recovering from punching, but still rolled true.

Played for the first time...Course was in excellent condition! Greens were punched 3 weeks prior but ball still rolled well on the greens. Staff was great all around from the bag drop, the pro shop, the starter, and the grill. Pace of play was awesome as well. I come down to Siesta Key every June for vacation and we have a big group that plays a ton of golf...this course will be in our permanent rotation going forward.

My wife and I were paired with a nice and pleasurable member and made our round very enjoyable.

The play was slow but the course is in great shape.

Played this afternoon. Nice course with great amenities. Today’s pace of play was good for afternoon golf. Only challenge is that greens were punched recently making for really bumpy and fairly slow putts. Our group wish we had known ahead of time and maybe would have played elsewhere until greens were in better shape.

Overall we liked the course. Open fairways and great practice area.

Love the layout. Have played it many times. Only issue is this course doesn’t tell u the greens have been aerated. Hard to putt.

Most clubs lower their prices so u can guess they have been punched.

Some just post it on golfnow. Not Espalande. I would say this is not a berry golfnow hotdeal friendly course.

New Espalande Azario course will over shadow this one.

First time playing they didn’t say anything about the greens being punched but I got out there for 30 bucks and the course was great besides the greens I’d say another atleast week or 2 on them before there pure again nice track though

Always enjoy the course, but the conditions were not great. Greens were punched ( no formal warning) , and rough was uncut in multiple areas. I will say that the fairways and tee boxes were in good shape.

Great track, 1st timers, wide open, will play again. Would consider moving here if homes weren't so closely spaced. Originally from Chicago, so used to big greens fees, but should be aware greens are being aerated before you pay the freight. Greens held few shots & had exceptionally slow/unreadable roll. After 2nd hole, when on green, we imposed auto-2putt rule and moved on.

TEEOFF should make playing-conditions known on website. With that info in hand (aeration), this venue should be offered @ $45-50... rather than the $64 advertised.
