Mount Vintage Golf Club - Vintage Course

Mount Vintage has been around since 2000 when the original 18 hole course was opened. In 2008, they opened another 9 holes making this a course with a few more options.

The Vintage 9 is one of the original 18. It is the longest of the three with the most elevation changes, Many tee shots and approach shots are up or down 20-50 feet. The greens are very receptive and fair to putt.

The Chester 9 is also one of the original 18. It is the toughest of the three with sloping greens that are more difficult to putt. The greens have a few more bunkers as well.

The Independent 9 is the newest but much like the other two in appearance and condition. It has more water in play but also features wider fairways. It is a grip-it-and-rip-it type of design.

It is a bit of a drive from Augusta but well worth the visit for a very nearly perfect course.

It had been a while since we played Mt. Vintage and found the course looking great.However, by booking online, we were unaware that we would be squeezed between 2 large tournaments which made the day VERY long. Too bad that was not stated somewhere because it took away a lot of the positives this place has to offer.

Wonderful assortment of holes....vast elevation changes....almost all greens raised.....friendly wide fairways...

....numerous tee areas.....over all a terrific track.....but lousy sandwiches.

Loved the course layout. The course was in gtreat shape and was a nice value for a Saturday am. I would definitely recommend this place for a round of golf.

This course is a great challenge to all players. It was a Hot Deal through Golf Now otherwise I would have been charged $180 per person. I hit the Hot Deal Jackpot. This course was cart path only because of the wetness. It made for slow play. With that said it was in amazing shape and was super hilly and challenging. I would love to play it again. The scenic views and the amazing houses made up for the slow play factor. I would play it again but I wouldn't want to pay $180. Regular green fees are in the $50-70 range and that would be well worth the cost.

This old plantation are stunning and well maintained.

The surroundings around the clubhouse with the range and practise are very nice.

The staff are super nice and welcoming.

Unfortunalliy the course was very wet from to days heavy rain and the greens where slow and uneven.

Awesome layout and some really picturesque holes. A must play if you are in the area.

We played on Sunday before Masters week and I believe were price-gouged. For the money, I expected much better. The greens looked like they had not been cut for a couple days and were slow and bumpy. Course was pretty but the condition of the greens ruined a potentially good experience. I will not likely go back.

Just coming out of winter. Greens and tee boxes need work. Fairways in good shape. Enjoyable experience!.

I played Vintage and Independent today and both nines are in great shape. I don’t know if you heard but they are having a membership drive for the first 50 members for $135.00 a month with a 12 month commitment. WOW what a deal to be able to be a member of this great place!! The staffs are the best golf and bar staff I’ve ever seen at any local course around here!! They are also the new home of the Vaughn Taylor AJGA Junior Golf Tournament. This place is coming back in style. So I joined and maybe you should to!! Keep it up folks everything looks great!!

Played Independent and Chester, both very nice and challenging

I love this layout. Course conditions are much improved from recent years. The new greens are smooth and roll true. I like the elevation changes and the big course feel with enough variety in the tees to fit any game.

This was the third time I have played the course in the past couple of months. One of the best values in the CSRA. You can tell Mount Vintage has new management with rebuilt bunkers, a great range and practice area, and friendly helpful staff. It was awfully wet from all the rain and yet every bunker had been raked and manicured. The Independence 9 is my favorite. Wide open. Does not beat you up but tough to score your best with the contours and nuisances of the terrain and greens. I just love this golf course.

Paid $37 on GN. Should have paid $27. Greens a bit rough. Course was wet and cart path only. This is a challenging, Championship type course. Course conditions probably a function of it being mid February. I you ask me 3 months from now I probably will have a different story. They used to play an LPGA tournament here 10 years ago.

This golf course is one of the best in the area!! It has everything you can ever ask for. The golf staff is most friendly place I’ve ever been in this area!! A lot of clubs could learn from this staff far as making people feel welcomed!! The grille has the best burger in town and two great waitresses. The golf course is definitely by far the best 27 holes I’ve seen in long time. If you haven’t played it you need to it’s in great shape!!

The course was cart path only and that wasn't necessary as there were a few wet holes but as an experienced golfer, you know what areas to avoid.
