This place earned its one star
If you like to play out of the mud or soaked grass then this place is for you. I heard “four!” more times in one round here then my whole life playing, the course layout is dangerous and terrible. There are many many better places to play for the price then this one.

Front nine over Saturated with water and greens soaked in water. Back nine super dry.

Course is in rough shape...and slow!
The course is in generally rough shape. Lots of odd grasses growing and muddy spots!
Played really slow..with no efforts to fix it or explanation.

Good but dangerous
Probably the most dangerous course I've played. The fairways are right next to each other, and a couple of balls came close to hitting me. Doesn't seem to have the most experienced players so not too many people can keep their play under control or yell fore if a ball is headed towards you.
Other than that it's decent for the money. The greens were really nice, the fairways are average for how dry it is, but the bunkers weren't soft and tee boxes need to be mowed.
The course layout is decent. There's a couple of challenging holes but most seem only slightly challenging, although it can be pretty easy to lose your ball through most of the holes because of the canyon terrain. Only a couple of holes had elevation, so for the most part it's flat and walkable. Plus the canyon keeps the temperatures down, so you won't be roasting in the heat.

Used to be beautiful
Hreens in great shape but my momma always said if you can't say anything nice, don't say nothing at all so again.....the greens were nice.

Scenic layout
This is always the attraction to playing here, wildlife and scenic mountain setting! The prices are very good, especially for a weekend tee time!

Beautiful morning for 18 holes
Beautiful and fast greens, awesome fairways especially the front 9. Not too crowded at 8:10 on Wed morning, had a great time. Fairways can be tight so be prepared to duck when you hear FORE! and be prepared to loose some balls in the woods or creek.

Strange course
First thing I noticed was that no data service in area. Couldn't get yardage through my phone. Hard to figure out tee box yardage since no marker showing white or blue. Didn't really enjoy myself since I had to wait at each hole.

Not for the faint of heart or beginners beware
Beautiful course with lush green fairways, fast greens, and lots of wildlife to enjoy. The fairways can be quite narrow at times so if you struggle with hooks or slices you may loose a half a dozen balls or so. There's a creek that runs the length of the front 9 and it will swallow your ball if you stray from the fairway. I played at 11:30 and it seemed very crowded for a Wednesday morning. Pace of play seemed slow at times and lots of balls crashing through the trees on the back 9. I'll be there next week with two goals, better score and less lost balls.

Very slow play.
Very slow play. Needs sand in sand traps. Course appeared to be very wet, muddy and flooded in many areas. Greens were in good shape though. We ended up only played 9 holes due to the slow play.

Redwood Canyon good layout needs love
For the most part it’s all in the title, I have always loved the course layout, greens were in good shape, ran a little slow but in all the greens are in good shape. The tee boxes were a disaster. The fairways were hit and miss. Some were decent and there there were some like the tee boxes. In all it’s not bad for the price, it’s a challenging course with narrow fairways, anything left or right is a lost ball or jail with the trees. Would have been nice to have a beverage cart running around. Always a fun round here but borderline overpriced for the condition. Hope they get some love into the course and it could be a regular course.

They are fixing up the course... fill in those pot holes on the cart paths! Greens fine, fairways need alittle more water.
