Good layout, poor conditions
The course has a fun layout, but is not particularly well maintained. Carts should not be allowed on the fairways, as they are muddy and getting torn up. Some greens were scalped. Some greens had craters in them. Some tee boxes were not mowed, you we’re teeing up in rough. Got an early tee time, and had no issues with rate of play, but the later tee times looked jammed up.
For the money, it was fine. Basically, not a hidden secret, but a “you get what you pay for”.
Alfred Tupp Holmes
The layout was great and challenging but the greens were a bit under par on several holes. Vehicle parking was very poor and difficult for owners of large SUVs and trucks.
Much Improved
I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the golf course. It has improved since I played there in the fall of 2023. The fairways are still narrow, but the grass was neatly mowed and the green were firm/fast. Again the course has improved.
Great improvement
Great improvement on the course
You can see the money being spent
Will be back
Only back nine was open
Found out after getting cart key that only back nine was open and had to play twice for the 18 holes. Should have stated on GolfNow.
Course is in great shape. The cart paths have been replaced.
I was shocked at the new improved condition of the course. It’s the hidden gem.
Great Renovations To The Course But Not Communication On Golf Cart Issue
I live about 10 minutes down the road from Tupp Holmes and have played it many times. This was my second time playing the renovated front 9 and everything looks great. Cart paths, greens, tee boxes, fairways all looked great.
My father drove all the way from Roswell to play with me and when we got there the person at the front desk said “I hope you brought your walking shoes”. Apparently the charging station broke for the golf carts, but I received no email, text, or call to communicate this to me. The man at the desk said a notification did go out and I must have been new in their system. I have played the course probably 25+ times and my email address was in fact already in the system when he checked. So it would make no sense for me not to have received a communication.
I would recommend this course to my friends in the area, but I would not to those further away because of what surprises they may have to deal with upon arrival due to the lack of communication. (I also played the course a couple weeks prior with my father-in-law and I booked what appeared to be a full 18 hole round. Only to get to the course and be notified that only the front 9 was open.). So this is not the first time this has been a lack of communication.
A Must Play!!
Great course! A few people I was with me ruined that the course aha gone through a total renovation and it was much appreciated. Need water out in the coolers on the course but overall a great time. Will be back!
Course not ready...
Booked this unknowing that during the week apparently they only do 9 holes played 2x to make a full 18 holes. You either play front or back 9 depending on the day. This was not stated anywhere even though they said it was. For the price it definatly was not worth it. Hopefully they finish the work so they can offer the full 18 hole experience as they advertised.
Upgrades are great
I like all the changes, and look forward to the back 9 opening up soon. I will come back....
Bunch of hills and clay.
They didn't say anything about having to play the front 9 twice for 18...course is in terrible shape. Irrigation trenches on every hole...rocks in the tee boxes...tee locations are like way off due to whatever reason. Leveling sand all over greens. Grass uncut in many areas...no water feautures..No driving range. When you park it's hard to tell where the shop is just take a guess and go up the stairs. Won't be returning.
