Best value for the money in the city of Atlanta
A good quality course, at a price that is nearly half of what an equivalent level private course would cost. It also has a variety of hole layouts that require you to use all the various shot types needed to really improve your game. What’s not to like?
Cheap but still a loss
I booked my first round here on the 4th and usually I don't play Atlanta courses because they suck, bad. However, this course was cheap at $18.00, so I thought I'd give it a chance. Right in the door the parking lot is so tiny it's almost impossible to get a pickup truck in there. The clubhouse doesn't sell any food, the tee boxes are mostly dirt and dried out, the course marshals parked and chatting instead of regulating play (I had to skip 2 holes because I had been t here 2.5 hours and was only on hole 8). My cart stopped on me and would'nt go so I had to have it replaced. Ball bandits everywhere including the course marshals! He rode up and saw a ball next to the cart path asked if it was mine, picked it up and drove off. Smh. You won't find a ball anywhere, including your own. I'll never play here again.
Sunny day
Always enjoy playing Tup and today was great, sunny day, friendly staff, fast pace, no waiting...
Slow round today
Greens were running smooth and fast, but pace of play- on a Tuesday- was horrible. 2:45 to play the front nine. I gave up playing the back nine as I didn’t have another 2.5-3 hours to spare.
Not a bad course. Tee boxes were in decent condition along with the rest of the course. Some ugly greens, but mostly fine and not super slow like some of the other muni’s. However, please note that if you’re using a cart, they want it back by 5pm which is pretty ridiculous. We started before 1pm and still couldn’t play a full round. Also a massive logjam at the 9th tee box that the marshals did nothing to alleviate
Slow round
It was very crowded and got very slow on the back nine, I played thru 2 groups and still got behind 2 other slower groups. It got chilly but a good round for the price...
Great Course
The layout is great and it’s a fun course to play. I’ve played 6 or 7 times on week days, weekends, mornings, and afternoons. On a weekend, the pace of play can be rather slow, sometimes up to 5 hours for a round. However, if you’re playing solo on a weekday, you can get done in less than 3. Some of the tee boxes and greens could use some work and some of the fairways are right next to each other so you’ll often get people hitting onto the wrong one. The staff is super friendly and it’s a great value, especially if you’re walking. Would definitely recommend to others.
From California to Atlanta
The golf course has a beautiful lay out with a couple of blind fairways and elevated tees. Some of the fairways are tree lined, which causes one to use a high percentage club off the tee to ensure accuracy.
The tee boxes could use some maintenance. Some of the fairways were over watered, which caused water puddles and mud holes.
The greens could have been better cared for. There were areas under repair on 3 greens that I counted.
The course was challenging to follow, as there were few signs with clear directions. It was easy to miss a tee box, and I ended up on the wrong tee box a couple of times.
Nice Course, Great Value!
As a relative newbie to golf, I’m playing a lot of par 3 golf. I was looking to get more experience on full size courses, but not wanting to spend big bucks. This course fit my needs perfectly! Good length, fairly straight, and challenging greens. I’ll be back!
