About
El Prado Golf Course boasts two different 18-hole courses: Butterfield Stage and Chino Creek. Early in California's statehood, stagecoaches would make the 2,700 mile trek from St. Louis to San Francisco. The property used to be a stop on this trail, which is where the Butterfield Stage Course gets its name. It's the shorter of the two courses at 6,568 yards from the back tees. The course is flatter and more forgiving than Chino Creek, but it still has a fair amount of challenges that will test your skills. The layout has generous fairways, but watch out for the strategically placed bunkers lurking along the large, gently undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on several holes as well. The wide open nature of the course can be forgiving but at the same time it will put your round at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Best Value in Inland Empire
Two golf courses at a great value. Courses are always in good shape. Several golf courses in the surrounding areas charge double are in the same condition. Friendly staff and always a fun place to play. Will challenge every level of golfer
“Cart Included”
When tee time was booked, golfnow said cart included with price but confirmation email stated walking and course charged me $14 more for cart fee. I drove 30 minutes thru traffic to play cause it was good price but wasn’t worth it and it was classic “bait and switch”

Great Course, Great Value
I play Chino Creek and Butterfield regularly. Chino Creek is a little more challenging than Butterfield but Butterfield is majestic with it's wide fairways. Staff is excellent!

Great coarse for the price, challenging, easy to setup Tee Time, great pace, and most of all we had a good time!
Sand still not replaced
I can't fathom why the sand has not been replaced for years now. The conditions have improved a bit because the dirt in the bunkers is periodically raked and it has to be played as a normal bunker would be played. The bathrooms on the course are still in great need of repair. this course facility could be first class if the course amenities were addressed. But it has remained stuck in the 80's.

really fun place
El Prado is a really fun place, not only do they have 2 courses to choose from, the staff is amazing, nice practice facility, and the price is the best deal around.

Course is coming into great shape.
The winter rains have passed and the course is very lush right now. The roughs have finally been able to be mowed to appropriate length.
The fairways are well defined and the grass is lush. Roughs are now manageable. The bunkers are hard pan dirt and not real consistent with the depth of the dirt- they could use some work.
Overall- the course is in very good condition and playable for all skill levels.

Slow greens
Greens were really fuzzy and spongey. Fairways were a bit hairy as well. Overall, decent bang for your buck but they should really work on getting the greens nicer like they were at the beginning of spring.

Best All Around Course
I love playing both courses here. The pace is always good. The course is well maintained except for some rough patches and rocky bunkers. It offers a variety of distances and challenges so even after 20+ rounds here I still find it fun. Best of all it's affordable to play here and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. Grass driving range with fairly priced buckets. 3 chipping and putting greens as well as a pitching area of the 10th tee box. My only complaint is the 19th hole closes too early.

The kid working the front desk was semi rude stating then pointing to that sign that I need to check in no earlier than 15 minutes before the tee time. Ok I’ll be back in five minutes even though I was the only person in the place. Get a life
