About
El Prado Golf Course boasts two different 18-hole courses: Butterfield Stage and Chino Creek. Early in California's statehood, stagecoaches would make the 2,700 mile trek from St. Louis to San Francisco. The property used to be a stop on this trail, which is where the Butterfield Stage Course gets its name. It's the shorter of the two courses at 6,568 yards from the back tees. The course is flatter and more forgiving than Chino Creek, but it still has a fair amount of challenges that will test your skills. The layout has generous fairways, but watch out for the strategically placed bunkers lurking along the large, gently undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on several holes as well. The wide open nature of the course can be forgiving but at the same time it will put your round at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Fun course for the money. Course was in good shape. The rough I thought needed grooming.other than that was lots of fun
Fivesomes should not be allowed
We come play there EVERY Wednesday and have been told and accepted that fivesomes are not allowed there. Yet last week we were stuck behind 2 fivesomes which made the pace of play extremely slow. When the pro shop attendant was informed, he did nothing.
Expectations met
We were looking to get in a cheap round and early and our expectations were definitely met. The course was in decent shape. The greens were good and the fairways were better then in the past. We finished in about 4 hrs which was awesome (6:09 am Tee off) The only complaint would be that the carts are old and even though ours ran out of juice on the 1st hole and another was brought out right away for a switch... they are just old. I would recommend this course for a good time.
Solid Round
Always a good time at this course. The recent rain has helped with conditions quite a bit and for ~$60, I’d consider it a great deal. Especially compared to other courses in the area.
All in all, cant go wrong booking a tee time here.
And one of the best golf course hot dogs I’ve ever had!

Course in very good shape
The course was in very good condition with the fairways getting nice & lush. The rough is finally cut back to be manageable. Greens are nice like always.

Worth the drive
A challenging track and the pace of play was good. Some of the fairways could use some work but basically okay. Need to improve signage for directions to next tee box and to update GPS so that the nines are not reversed.

Soso
Too many powerlines in the field of view and i hit one on the first hole. Also looked like a mud slide or something happened as there is stale water ways and broken concrete everywhere. Cart paths were gravel ruts. Greens werent bad though.

Good time
Had a lot of fun with this course. Thick rough that pushed me to be more accurate in getting the ball on the fairway.
Course is in good shape, but greens not quite smooth
Appears they just punched the greens within a few weeks, and they were still a little bumpy, but fairways were in good shape and pace of play at 630 on a Sunday morning was superb.

Value for play
Good course to play with friends. Sometimes the carts run out of elecrticity life. I've noticed the staff frequently having to bring out carts because of dead electrical power.
This has happened to me 4 times this year.
Other than this problem, all other aspects of this course are good.
Very nice
Challenging course beautiful layout especially for the money pace of play was very nice club house employees were very nice and friendly.
Roughs
I'm hoping the roughs are cut down, lost like 4 balls, and that was just me the other 3 in my group also.
Fairways also were needing cutting.

You get what you pay for
Greens are in good shape. Fairways and cart paths are marginal at best. Restrooms are atrocious. Food at the grill was very good and the cooks very friendly. Green fees are reasonable.
