About
El Prado Golf Course boasts two different 18-hole courses: Butterfield Stage and Chino Creek. Early in California's statehood, stagecoaches would make the 2,700 mile trek from St. Louis to San Francisco. The property used to be a stop on this trail, which is where the Butterfield Stage Course gets its name. It's the shorter of the two courses at 6,568 yards from the back tees. The course is flatter and more forgiving than Chino Creek, but it still has a fair amount of challenges that will test your skills. The layout has generous fairways, but watch out for the strategically placed bunkers lurking along the large, gently undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on several holes as well. The wide open nature of the course can be forgiving but at the same time it will put your round at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Don't Waste Your Money and Time on This Course
I can't believe the course is making money by selling "junk" services. This is exactly how I felt about the course. For the first time, I was so disappointed and left the course after playing just nine holes. Please mark my words: Don't waste your precious money and time. Please play elsewhere.

Good course, even better price
Highly recommend to play this course when your in the area. Course is a good condition and the greens roll true. You get your monies worth and then some at this course.

Course closed- but still sold tee times thru golf now
Booked and drove 15 miles only to discover course was closed. Why they didn’t take down the times from golf now is befuddling. Refund took entirely too long as the course wouldn’t call back GN customer service for days. Cheap though- yet a bad enough experience I won’t be going back.

This course was decent
Only thing that bothered me was the rough . Having a very hard time finding my ball even though I knew the general area where it was . Lost a lot of balls that shouldn’t of been lost . Didn’t have time to keep looking because of the pace of play . Needs work

Excellent condition
For the pounding this course took during the rains, course was in great playing shape. Great job to the staff.

Worst Time There !
Course was in horrible shape , it was a beautiful day to play golf at one of my favorite golf courses but due to the bad conditions of the course we all had a bad day ! I had one problem looking for my ball on the 10th hole by the green & it was so bad there that we couldn't find my ball & the rest of our time i kept having to help my group constantly look for there balls which made our experience so bad ! Usually we always find our balls real fast , but this day was a nightmare & i believe it was due to the recent storms but hopefully the next time i go there the course will be in better shape & look like the pictures you guys show on this page ! My group was disappointed more than i was , but that's not going to stop me from going back there cause like i said it's one of my favorite courses & i definitely will be back there !

Course
I am usually a fan of this course. I think it’s a golfer friendly course. But it was not maintained well. I’ll give them that it has been raining but fairways were bad. There were points where I couldn’t find my ball even though I know i was on the fairway. The greens were the best part of the course. I believe it was over booked. We took almost six hours n not because we played bad which we typically do. But everyone was right behind each other. We could not let a two go in front of us because it didn’t matter.

Buttterfueld and chino
The bar and restaurant terrible… to lazy to make popcorn and service a joke we go offsite to eat golf staff friendly!

Golf cart dying and not lept clean
The cart were not clean and quite dirty. Plus it died on is on 16th hole.
Also please help with managing game pace. We had to wait at least five minutes on each round. Groups in front of us were very slow.
