About
El Prado Golf Course boasts two different 18-hole courses: Butterfield Stage and Chino Creek. Early in California's statehood, stagecoaches would make the 2,700 mile trek from St. Louis to San Francisco. The property used to be a stop on this trail, which is where the Butterfield Stage Course gets its name. It's the shorter of the two courses at 6,568 yards from the back tees. The course is flatter and more forgiving than Chino Creek, but it still has a fair amount of challenges that will test your skills. The layout has generous fairways, but watch out for the strategically placed bunkers lurking along the large, gently undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on several holes as well. The wide open nature of the course can be forgiving but at the same time it will put your round at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Good Pace, Price and Condition
I've played here several times before. It's kinda hit and miss as far as pace of play and course condition. On 16 Dec 21 though I played a twilite round here after getting a good deal online. <$25. Finished 18 in about 3:50. Had to wait a couple times but only a couple times and never more than a couple minutes. I was a single behind a 4some too, so I'm sure that was a factor.
Course was in pretty good shape and even though it had rained pretty hard only a day or two before there weren't any issues with mud or standing water. Bunkers were a little rough but for the price it's kind of expected. Staff was friendly and courteous. No complaints and I'll play here again in the near future.

Not a bad course, it was a little muddy in some areas but like all courses I had a great time with the boys. Never really waited for the guys ahead of us

Great course but the Markers could be much better we had a very hard time finding a few of the holes that we had to go back over the road for.
Foggy morning but awesome
I love early morning golf and this is a good place to do it! We took off at 6:39am and finished at 10am! The greens were good and the overall conditions of the course were good! Fast play of a fivesome in front of us! Despite the foggy weather, everything was great and we will play here again! Great value and a good practice course as well.
Fair Price
Course is fairly priced for the Money. Good pace for 18 Holes, 4 Hours. Tee time 10:40 A .
The fairways were terrible. More like dirt grass. Poorly marked signage. Place just looks run down and poorly taken care of.
