About
El Prado Golf Course boasts two different 18-hole courses: Butterfield Stage and Chino Creek. Early in California's statehood, stagecoaches would make the 2,700 mile trek from St. Louis to San Francisco. The property used to be a stop on this trail, which is where the Butterfield Stage Course gets its name. It's the shorter of the two courses at 6,568 yards from the back tees. The course is flatter and more forgiving than Chino Creek, but it still has a fair amount of challenges that will test your skills. The layout has generous fairways, but watch out for the strategically placed bunkers lurking along the large, gently undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on several holes as well. The wide open nature of the course can be forgiving but at the same time it will put your round at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Worse experience ever
Ever since they’ve added karts to the butterfield side it’s been a horrendous experience. Usually it’s super fast pace but now it’s taking forever. Took 3 hours to finish the front 9 and after we left. 2 terrible groups in front of us were holding it up.
Easy to get a tee time
Good course for the price and easy to get a tee time. Two courses. Chino Creek is nicer than Butterfield Stage. Thr winds come into play in lae afternoon. I wisb tbe 19th hole would stay open later so can catch a ball game and have a cold one.
Fun Round
Played on a Tuesday morning at 10:30. They were mowing Fairways and the Rough that morning. Got really tight lies from Fairways, if you were in the rough off the Fairways it was a little shorter than normal probably. Greens were in good shape. Really can't complain about anywhere I was playing from.

I love playing @ the Butterfield because it is the bomb.
El Prado
It's one of the worst golf course I have ever played. i think what they charged to play was way over priced, I wouldn't pay more then $20.00 to play there. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Great Course Stench unbearable
Played this course for the first time Sunday. Although the pace of play and course condition were excellent I will put a check mark next to this course to remind not to play here ever again. After about the first six holes the smells coming from what turned out to be a sewage treatment plant in the close vicinity were the most horendous I've ever encountered. We debated driving off the course. We put on our masks and toughed it out. As much as we liked the couse layout and fast greens the stench nixed the entire afternoon. For this I can't recommend this couse.

This place is horrible. This is a $5-$10 course. I won’t go back.

pretty bad
Cart paths mostly bumpy dirt road, no signage where the holes are. Very confusing about 13th hole. Does not match map.
