El Prado Golf Courses - Chino Creek
About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

Golfer Reviews
Needs a marshal to help with pace
Course fairway is decent, got some dirt patches here and there but for the most part, it’s green. Bunkers is hard dirt. Greens are in great conditions I’d say, just recovered from being aerated and rolled pretty true to its line - don’t know the actual stimp but for me, it had a medium/fast roll, which I like.
When Our group tee’d off, the starter said we should finish just under 5, but the 2 groups in front of ours had other plans and just held up play, ended up being a 5 hr and 40 min. So I think a Marshall would of helped. We tee’d off at 1 PM and the sun had set when we finished. I played the weekend before at Westridge and tee’d off at 2:52 and end at the 17th.
You get what you pay for
Not the best condition on either courses. Dry and patchy. But for the price, not a bad place to practice your game.
Reasonable
Fun course to play. Buzz of power lines are off putting. Beautiful area, but poor driving range facilities. Nice little bar. Golf carts could use an update with the prices charged. Overall, would try again. I played chino course and have not attempted the butterfield course.

A great value
Played today and was pleasantly surprised to find the fairways and teeboxes this green and in great shape. Greens rolled perfect. Played a round just 5 mins shy of 4 hours even though there were walkers in front of me. May be it’s this fast because it was a weekday but definitely a great value for $30. It probably won’t be this lush during summer but a great value.
Chino
30 mins behind on tee time, slow play, snack bar limited .
I haven’t played here in years now I remember why!!

Nice Course
Last minute reservation near Ontario Airport where I was dropping off my daughter. Course was in great shape, and I enjoyed the layout. I was part of a twosome and stuck behind an extremely slow foursome. Otherwise, everything was great and I would play here again.
Pleasantly surprised
Saw some online pictures where the course looked a bit dry. When i got to the course it was super green everywhere. Fairways were in very good shape and greens rolled nice. The guy at the shop was very professional and courteous. I live about 45 min from there but will make this place a go to for me.
Friday Morning Round
Went out as a single. 850 teatime. Pace was steady. Course in pretty good shape. Always a good time walking 18 at El Prado
