About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Unorganized, unprofessional
Arrived for a noon tee time on a Monday. Pro shop staff had a bad attitude, without any empathy or consideration stated no carts available and many groups are waiting. Didn’t provide any timeline. Unable to get my money back because I pre-paid for the round. My first time trying to play this course and drove from LA. The lack of professionalism was remarkable. How is this no carts on a Monday afternoon? Why allow people to book and pre-pay? Why have angry pro shop staff with condescending attitudes? Never returning.
Fun course, nice layout. Hard to find your way around the course if u are first timer!
Hole number one is bad advertisement for course!
No fairway grass and green almost all bare.
However it was fun and I had a great time!
Garbage
The kid that helped check us in, horrible. Could care less about providing good service. The course itself is in horrible condition, embarrassing really. It took us 4 hours to play 12 holes so we left after the 12th. No starter, multiple groups of 2, singles, everyone just Teeing off when they wanted. I’ve never had high expectations of this course but it has NEVER been this bad.
FAIRWAYS, DIRECTIONAL SIGN AND CART PATHES IN NEED OF REPAIR AND UPDATING.
Not Good Conditions
Needs better grass in the fairways, better maintained greens, better cart paths, and actual sand in the bunkers.
Great round at a great course
Loved playing here other than the long wait to tee off at each hole. Couldn’t complete 18 because it was getting to dark. Took 5 hours to play 14 holes
good course and reasonable price, but busy
This course is nice for enjoying. Not too difficult, Not too easy.
10 people on 1 green?
Usually Green River does well with pace of play. Not today. Not only did they allow 2 twosomes out consecutively we ran into a 10some? You read that correctly. 10 people on 1 green. Then we proceeded to watch all 10 tee off on the 11th hole.
Clean up the leaves
Majority of the fairways and light rough areas are covered in leaves where it’s difficult to locate your golf balls. It’s a simple procedure for the grounds crew to clear up the leaves but doesn’t seem like it’s a priority.
