Green River Golf Club
About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Poor condition
The course is in shambles. It’s unfortunate because it has potential.
Green River Covid times
Great value for location, pace of play, and slope rating... greens great pace. Fairways decent shape, and boxes fair. Course could use a little love, but for the price.... it’s great
Conditions at course
There is construction work being done and there are only 9 playable holes, and is played twice for 18 holes.
Somewhat confusing at times as to where the next playable hole is located. I have played this course in the past and really liked it, however, this is my first time with the construction and I would rather wait until course is reconstructed. Other than that, the fairways and greens play well, if you don't mind the confusion with the construction.
Sad
I had not played this course for a few years & don’t recall it being all that bad. I think Green River has a monopoly on crabgrass or something. I understand covid is taking its toll, but it shouldn’t affect the course maintenance. 13 holes in, a staff person slipped in a few holes in front of our group and slowed the pace even more than it already was. The bumpiest fairways and dirt paths in the biz for sure. Won’t be back.
All 18 holes are open
This course was a lot of fun and has a great layout a lot of par 4s and par 5s. The fairways need some work and also the cart paths. Also a lot of gopher holes . Overall fun course will come back and play.
Carts/conditions
The course and surroundings areas have been “under construction” for over 5 + years. It looks terrible and the course doesn’t look like it’s well maintained. I had a 1pm tee time and couldnt start until almost 1:25pm because they didn’t have enough carts. I couldn’t even finish the full 18 holes because it was dark by then and that 25 minute difference made all the difference.
Green River Golf
The whole course was open today! First time in many months as the water district is working on the Riverbed through the course. Generally speaking in decent shape, a few bare spots on greens and in the fairways, but fun to play the whole course again.
Course under construction
They only had 9 holes total to play. You start at 1 and 2 then shoot over to 12 - 18. Once you finish 18 you start back at 1 and play the same holes again to complete 18 holes.
Course is in bad shape!!
Green River Golf
The course was under construction so you can play holes 1,2 and then 12-18, twice through. The conditions of the course were okay, fairways were decent and greens had a few divots. I’d be curious how the full course would be. But the driving range was about maybe 180 yards, at most. When it comes to the pro shop, I was thoroughly amazed that one person can be that sleepy while working. The cashier spent our entire interaction fumbling for words and rubbing his eyes. I would not drive out to corona again to do that.
