Green River Golf Club
About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Convenient course with a really friendly staff.
Booked this course online 12 hrs ahead of time no problem.
The greens on the front 9 need some desperate help, especially #1
At least it was decently spread out, unlike the back 9. It felt like every hole was right on top of each other and often balls from the adjacent holes would land in the middle of OUR fairways, leading to risky shots because we were hitting directly toward each other.
Overall the course was a good value for the fees.
Watch out for the winds on the back 9 too!
W I N D Y lots of leaves..
As a golfer you want a little bit of courtesy when you go into a golf shop. You won't get that here... expect dismissive rudeness for spending $300.00+ on golf. Sorry we bothered you by spending money to keep you employed. Everything about the check-in was unpleasant. The range is terrible but they have a great putting green. They only rent the chipping area for $14 but they do allow you to practice putting without charging for it. Once on the course it was very windy... like 30 mph plus as the course winds through a canyon. that makes for tree litter, we spend much of our time looking for balls because of leaves. While the holes were moderately straight forward the signage to get to those holes is pretty bad expect to get lost. Never saw a Marshall or cart person the whole day. greens were ok and the bunkers looked nice, the rough did not seem maintained at all. I would say it is worth maybe $45 with cart if you don't mind the uncaring staff and windy play. However they charge $70.00...your call.
5 somes
Got a pre-paid deal which was great. Problem was two fivesomes were sent off ahead of us. Pace of play still wasnt too bad. Still, its a terrible policy to allow groups of 5 out.
Pace of Play
Course needs to evaluate its tee times. They allow groups to book times when it is dark out and then let them wait until it is light to tee off. If you are going to allow time before sunrise you need to force the groups to tee off. This is unacceptable . I will not be back
Haven’t played here in a few years. Nice improvements!! Will be visiting this course more often in the future.
Course is always fun and challenging
This course is always a fun round. Challenging holes, but they play fairly.
They have recently added new sand to all the bunkers. The sand is awesome- perfect compression !! The only drawback is the sand is so bright white- I had to put my sunglasses on for bunker shots- it was that bright !!!
Spend your money elsewhere
I’ve played green river for years and years. But I must admit they have absolutely no upkeep of their course.
Green on hole 9 looks like a Petri dish, horrible condition. Rest of greens are average at best. The tee boxes are basically on 2” long rough, not even cut. Good luck teeing up your ball. Might as well hit driver off the deck.
Trees lined amongst many fairways are way over grown where you don’t even have a chance to hit a drive off the tee. Now, a good course, may have a challenging tee shot with a narrow opening. This is not green river. Green river just has overgrown trees obstructing your shots completely, where you’re forced to hit a low iron stinger to avoid terrible upkeep.
I’m glad to see after several months they bought some sand and improved their previous dirt bunkers.
Lower your prices to $45-55 a round, or start acting like a 70+ dollar course.
Don’t waste your time. This is chino hills reincarnated
Nope!
There wasn’t a flat spot anywhere, even the tee boxes.
