About
Although Chateau Elan Golf Club & Resort is just 40 minutes from Atlanta, the panoramic views of the north Georgia foothills make it feel much further from the city. The club boasts two public championship courses and a nine-hole course as well as The Legends, a private golf club. In addition to the golf, Chateau Elan is also home to a full production winery. The Chateau Course is one of the public championship golf courses. The layout wanders across 170 acres, winding around a lake and two creeks. Water, not surprisingly, comes into play on more than half of the holes but there are also 87 bunkers strategically placed throughout to watch out for. There is thick Bermuda rough bordering the contoured fairways too. It is more open than the slightly more challenging Woodlands Course, the other public championship golf course.

Great condition
Probably the best (fast) greens in the area. We were the first ones out so pace of play was outstanding

Course was in impeccable shape and the weather was great. The upgrades to the bar/restaurant area are really nice as well.
This course sucks
The people were rude, I will never go to this course again, Appalachi in dacula is so much better. This old guy tried to fight me , told me I got my drink from the bathroom....horrible course
Course was in great condition. It is a challenge. Need to know the layout so you will know where to place your shots. For the money it's a good deal. It was slow the day I played..

course is in great condition. Bring your friends and they won't be disappointed on your choice.
Course was in fantastic shape. Challenging tees for all skill levels. Greens rolled perfect after recent aeration and sanding. The second hole is challenging from green tees due to large oak tree in your line of site. That is frustrating. The range is great. Proshop is fully stocked. The restaurant is terrific when many menu items for a pre or post round meal. Carts are electric and fast but no charge ports.
If not at peak condition, it's about there!!!
Had a great round at Chateau Elan's Chateau course. The greens were sweet and the fairways in great shape, even with the rains that we've had. Dollar for dollar, one of the best courses in the area, and the staff is super friendly. Don't pass on it, I'm glad I played it!!
