About
Although Chateau Elan Golf Club & Resort is just 40 minutes from Atlanta, the panoramic views of the north Georgia foothills make it feel much further from the city. The club boasts two public championship courses and a nine-hole course as well as The Legends, a private golf club. In addition to the golf, Chateau Elan is also home to a full production winery. The Chateau Course is one of the public championship golf courses. The layout wanders across 170 acres, winding around a lake and two creeks. Water, not surprisingly, comes into play on more than half of the holes but there are also 87 bunkers strategically placed throughout to watch out for. There is thick Bermuda rough bordering the contoured fairways too. It is more open than the slightly more challenging Woodlands Course, the other public championship golf course.

Great time!
This course was great! Got in before it started to what seemed like a storm! Thanks to the help of Jake , he came out with an umbrella and helped me with my clubs! He cleaned my clubs and gave me his card in case I came again! I will be back in the near time future! Great job Chateau Elan!
Sub par Marshall’s
Tee time was set for 708. Teed off at 730. Almost got hit in the head by group behind us 2 different times because of them being so freakin impatient. Marshall’s didn’t do anything about it. Course was great other than that.

Poor experience at chateau
Terrible first experience. Course was overbooked on a Saturday morning. Took us 9 hours to play 3 holes. We left without finishing our 18 holes.

Nice course
Course was in good shape except for the greens which were sandy and slow. Round took over 4 hours on a Wednesday with very few golfer on the course. Very disappointed there were no starters or marshals on the course. Course layout was nice.

Great Course
Chateau is one of my favorite courses. I like it better that the Woodlands course. The conditions were excellent when I played. The greens were firm and fast and fairways and tee boxes had plenty of grass on them. I always enjoy playing here.

Lady at desk told me I was signed up for 9 holes but I paid in advance for 18 holes with a cart. I had my receipt on my phone that showed I paid for 18 holes so they honored it! Course was in GREAT shape and I’ll definitely be back there to play

Never dissapointed
The shorter of the two the Chateau Course never disappoints.. Perfect mix of medium and long holes.. greens run from smooth to fast depending on weather condition / treatment.. Layout provides constant elevation changes and visible challenges to keep your attention without taking anything away from your game. A better staff cannot be found. Genuine.. real people great you here. Now is the best time to play as the course is gettable (lol) before she stiffens up with the heat..
