Chateau Elan Golf Club - Chateau Course

Best golf experience I have had in the Atlanta Area.

The course is rolling hills but mostly very light hills. Easy to walk and ride. the course is expertly maintained and cart paths are excellent. All the personnel are friendly.

I have played this course and the Woodlands many times I always love coming to play here. Great golf courses with awesome layouts, lots of elevation changes, and almost no flat greens to be found, but the greens roll great. Both golf courses are a true test of ones game. Must play if you never have played either

I play this course about once a week because it's exactly in between where my friend and I live. We book the GolfNow hot times so we really enjoy a great course at a great rate.

The greens on the Chateau Course are always in great condition and I really enjoy the course layout. It can be very challenging if your swing is off. The staff is always pleasant.

My biggest compliant is the pace of play. They have no ranger or starter and rounds can take 5+ hours. This is almost a deal breaker for me. The bar/restaurant area is not very inviting if you prefer to eat or have a drink after the round. I don't believe I've ever seen anyone eating or drinking in there in the couple years I've been playing here.

But, for the money I will continue to play Chateau because I love the course and rates.

Greens were extremely nice. There is a couple holes that are very challanging to say the least.

Always loved this course. Players need remember to repair ball marks on the green and rake bunkers after shots.

Course good. Pace was slow and no help from the clubhouse to speed up.

The greens were very fast, but soft enough to hold

approach shots with no issues. Greens, and bunkers in perfect shape. Greens had lots of roll... No issues with up hill putts, but nearly impossible to stop a put near the cup from any other direction - they just keep rolling as I prayed my putts to the high side of, and near, the cup would soon stop; they just kept rolling BTW, I love greens like this... Shot one of my best round ever; had quite a few more putts than usual though... Hope to return again soon...

Greens in excellent condition, with the good weather for our round and the challenge of the course, would

reccomend playing this track.

The course was nearly perfect. My game, not so much. The good: perfectly cut fairways & greens, sand traps were soft,the club house staff very nice. The "bad" no GPS on the carts, no course map on the score card. So bring your GPS and buy the course map for $5 in the club shop.

Nice course but very slow. Walked off course as I couldn’t keep waiting 5 minutes to hit each shot. Spend a few dollars, please and get a Marshall willing to tell people to hurry up.

The course is in good shape. The greens are not yet 100% from the last punch but they still rolled true. As with any Bermuda greens they are very fast downhill down grain and slower uphill/into the grain. Missing the fairway with your tee shot is a true mistake right now. The rough is thick/deep. With the greens as firm as they are its hard to stop a shot from the rough on the green. I played from the back tees, listed at 7,000 yards, it plays to every bit of it. The pace of play was a little on the slow side, 1 foursome 3-4 groups ahead of us was holding up the entire course, Marshall made no attempt to speed them up or get them in position.

I like the overall layout of the course except for #17 (the hole is fine except from the back tees). I will come back when I get the chance.

This is an excellent course for an outing or to entertain clients. It is challenging but fair. The amenities are great. The staff are very friendly.
