Chateau Elan Golf Club - Chateau Course

The Chateau course is a fun but challenging course to play. I think it's more difficult than the Woodlands course. The course is tight with plenty of water. I thought the course was in good shape for January and the greens ran well. I look forward to paying it again during the spring/summer season.

I have enjoyed playing both courses here, while this course is more open and not as many elevation changes as the Woodlands has. The greens are always in great shape and roll so smoothly. Both courses here are a great test for any level of golfers. I have played both courses many times and always look forward to playing them again and again. The people in the pro shop are very friendly and helpful, and if you have time to eat I would say try the buffalo chicken wrap just a personal favorite of mine. Chateau Elan is one of the premier golf destinations in the Southeast. Their set-up is easy to understand that the guests of the winery and spa may enjoy golfing, too. At 40 miles North of downtown Atlanta, it is a bit of a drive from inside the Perimeter but since most of Atlanta's golfers live in Gwinette, Cobb, and Hall counties, they have a short hop on GA20, I85 or I985 to get there. While both the Woodlands and Chateau courses are fair challenges, the Chateau course seems more scenic to me. It is in fabulous shape.

Some joker drove their cart infront of the green on #6 Par 3 and they still have not fixed it.

Shoddy greensmen.

This is the more chalanging of the two courses I think. The new greens are nice and fast and hold the ball on your approach shots. The course is a little tricky there are a few blind spots here and there. Having course knowledge is nice you don't always have to hit your driver and sometimes you have to carry 250 to make it from the green tees. Played about 6400 from the second back to using 59 from the whites this course will give her game at challenges water on numerous holes so pack an extra set of balls and stay to the left on the fairways enjoy your day

Enjoy this course well maintained greens are new coming in quite nicely very rarely does it get backed up great course for the price with a great friendly staff.

This course has excellent greens, the course layout is not as good as Woodlands. Several holes require prior knowledge locations of the water and end of fairways.

New greens are coming along well although they are still a little slow. Everything else was in very good shape. Nice layout with lots of character.

I enjoyed the round. Greens are a little bumpy but other than that in great condition.

The Chateau course recently redid their greens with a hybrid bermuda. It's always been a great layout and now there are no drawbacks. Great track for the money

I played this course for the fist time in several years. When I played the course previously, the greens were not good at all. There were ball marks EVERYWHERE.

However, the course and the greens were AWESOME today. The greens are pretty new (bermuda greens). This course has always been very pretty and very fun as far as layout. However today, the greens were awesome, the course was in beautiful, all the sand traps were full of sand and raked. I will definitely be back. It is a GREAT value if you get a golf now hot deal. I can't say enough good things about the course and conditions today. AWESOME.

Played the Chateau course yesterday for the first time. The greens are about 11 weeks old according to one of the grounds keepers, and they were in great shape! A little slow but I understand you have to let the new grass set before cutting then shorter for the spring.

The clubhouse and grounds staff were all friendly and polite making for a great experience.

The course offered some very interesting holes that require precision play from the green tees. Very few holes that you could break out the driver on. For example, hole number 2 required no more than a 5 iron off the tee, but you had to get it over a tree in front of you that blocked a clear view of the fair way. The fairway was short with a creek.

Loved a lot of the holes. Will definitely be back.

The course conditions are excellent. Pace of play was slow (no marshalls), but it was a Friday afternoon. Lady at the desk made me feel unwelcome as a low paying Golf Now customer. I played here about 2-3 days earlier and the staff were very pleasant. I will return, but hope the lady is having a better day.

Course was in great shape. The greens were only a month old but we're really grown in. Will only be getting better. Pace of play was a little slow for our taste. But it was Labor Day. Score cards were very disappointing. If you have never played there you were unsure of hole design. Lot of blind shots. Will be back to play again. Thanks to the staff, we had a good time.

Very well maintained. Choose your clubs smart. Every tee shot does not need a driver. Keep it in the fairway.

Greens are deceiving - do not break as much as they look.

Great layout, good condition. Was stuck behind a couple who didn't understand golfing etiquette. Slow play an issue but I'm it's an issue everywhere.

Both courses are fun to play. In general, course condition was good, and staff is very friendly and accommodating. Time for a round of golf is good, but anticipate groups of five, singles and twosomes vs a steady flow of foursomes.

It was my first time going out to chatea élan and it is a beautiful venue. We played the front 9 of the chateau course and I was a little disappointed in the course conditions. Tee boxes and greens were a little rough. I think they are battling some disease. There was also what seemed like a lot of construction going on which hopefully means great things to come. My overall experience was great, staff was friendly. Great resort amenities, beautiful houses and pretty outline. hopefully they will get it figured out on the course.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Always a good round and experience at Chateau Elan
