Got a hot deal for this round. Tough course but fair test. Very quiet and peaceful. Really enjoyed it.

Excellant course, but long trip back to clubhouse if you want lunch after playing 9 holes.

Loved this course. I had played the Legends several times, and this one is better. Great fairways, are a lot tighter and reqjire good tee sbots. From the tips long par 3. Green are fast. Enjoyed my round, definitely a must play.

Loved this course. I had played the Legends several times, and this one is better. Great fairways, greens were tight, but seemed a little sticky. Never an easy pin placement and they are domed, so if you're not on the right tier, they'll roll right back to you.

I have no complaints other than a slow group of 2 that wouldn't wave me through. Awesome course, awesome staff! I'll definitely be back here! It's a little bit farther of a drive for me than my main course I play but it's well worth it to play a beautiful challenging course with very nice staff! These people know what they're doing as far as customer service. Can't get over how beautiful the course is and conditions too.

We played their sister course Chateau a few weeks ago and it was in bad shape, but Woodlands is usually better so we gave it a try. It was fantastic. Not only in great shape, but at the end of the round they were heavily aerating the fairways which will only make it better. That was barely an inconvenience so we didn't mind them keeping the course great. Cart girl didn't have sandwiches or even chips so that gave amenities a 3, otherwise top notch day for sure.

This golf course is very scenic and laid out like a PGA course. It will challenge you as you must think about every shot. The greens are not as easy to read and could easily fool you. The course is in excellent shape.

Loved the course and the lady behind the counter in the pro shop was very personable and helpful. Course condition was excellent, considering all Georgia courses in this area are currently in transition from winter-to-spring. Not to sound like I have never seen a large home, but I have never seen so many large (very large) homes around a golf course. To the designer's credit, they are never in play and only there to marvel at. I would be a billionaire if I had a penny for every brick on just the houses we saw on the front nine. You are several miles from the clubhouse after nine, and the Woodlands earns it name on the way back to the clubhouse as the mansions are replaced by the natural, woody & hilly setting---but the drink cart did appear several times. Riding is key---definitely not a good course to walk. There are lots of long, but scenic cart rides between greens and tees. I'm currently A 13 HC (most rounds at UGA) and shot 79 with 3 birdies---I probably haven't had 3 birdies this year at UGA. The greens were big, rolled true, and were slower than what I am accustomed to, but I played an inspired round due to great views from the tee boxes. Definitely will play this course again...

Played this course twice last weekend. Price for a resort course was pretty decent. The course itself is in very good shape. Large greens roll very true and smooth. Front nine is long and no joke, back nine is more manageable for a mid-handicap'er like myself. You will use every club in your bag and will need to think about where to land and how long the next shot needs to be. Practice facilities were good, driving range was hitting off mats. Reason for the average rating was because the service received was very poor. On Saturday they hosted a tournament and my group had a tee time right after the tournament. The organization to try and get the groups in order and out on the course was horrible. Very disorganized. As a result we were very rushed to get the round in before it was dark. In addition, at the end of the round when we dropped off the carts there was nobody there to get the carts or ensure the round went well. Overall I'd recommend going for the challenging course, but I was expecting excellent service and it didn't live up to my expectations.

Spring time is coming. Played yesterday in 65 degree weather. Ball is flying off the face. Can't wait till all the grass is green again and when time changes play longer without worrying about daylight. Course in great shape. They are replacing greens on the Chateau course, cleaning up trees and widening landing spots. Hope this brings in the senior tour maybe. Keep up the good work!

We looked forward to 18 holes on Saturday but pace of play turned out to be ridiculous. After taking 3 hours to complete the front nine, we decided to leave the course when we drove up to the 11th tee and there were 3 other groups already on that hole.

This course was a pretty fun course to play, although it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The course was very fair in the fact that the greens were smooth and putts rolled pure. What stood out most to me was how deceptive the distance of the course played. On the scorecard you may see 6700 from the tips, but the doglegs, uphill approaches, long par 3's, and windy nature of the course will make it an awesome challenge. For the price we paid ($48 through GolfNow) there are some other courses I would rather play, seeing this place needed some renovations. (Carts were pretty old, clubhouse/grill is in desperate need of renovations). If you are looking for a challenge based only on the course itself with some beautiful houses for some nice views built in, this is a pretty nice course. I just expected a lot more overall knowing the high class level of the other Chateu Elan amenities. I plan on giving this place another shot once the course has greened up a bit over the Spring.

The course was great nice scenery. The greens was a bit fast for the winter.There certain holes that are challenging with lakes.

Course is fair but challenging. The staff is always very pleasant and helpful. We try to play the Woodlands every chance we get.

Weather was not forecast to be good but took advantage of a great rate for weekend play. Weather held off for the whole round. The course was empty so was able to enjoy the round at a good pace. Greens were great - this course is always challenging - will be back!
