Great golf course
Best course for weekend golfers or beginners. I just love it
Solid course in the East Bay
Fun round, easy to walk. Good value, with $40 to walk on a Saturday morning.
Some long par 4s, but the course is in decent shape, greens have more break than you expect, at least to start the round. Some rough spots, but overall well maintained.
This course is not easy for beginners.
Most of the holes are long for higher handicap players. Holes are long and demand stright hitters.
The first tee is a par 5 but don't slice it to the right Into the trees Or you will start your round on a bad note, if your score matters. Most of the par 4 will be long and difficult for beginners to reach in 2 shots. Not a lot of forforgiveness this course if you don't have game. But if you do have game and want to play long holes by all means enjoy.
Great golfing!
Great weather, paired up with some fun guys ... and the course was well maintained. Only issue was slow play on the back nine.
Good solid course
I've played here a lot. Course was in average condition as always. Some fairways were aerated. They need to hire a cart girl/guy. They'd make some money.
Wide and long
Go for it. Worth playing. You'll like all - foods, drinks, and the hospitality.
Slow golf
Probably the longest round I have ever played. 5 hours and 45 minutes on a Tuesday. 2 fivesome's of lousy golfers in front of us. Never saw a Marshall. Only good thing was the weather and the rate we paid to play
Better than average muni
Skywest is better than your average municiple golf course. Although extremely flat, at 6,400 yds from whites it plays plenty long forcing you to use all the clubs in your bag. Generous fairways but stay out of the trees or you will pay the price. Keep your ball below the hole on these relatively fast greens. Greens themselves are in very good shape for a muni that gets this much use
Good valve, a few holes are under repair
I've been playing this course for a few years now, it's close to home, going against traffic and the price is right. I played it again last week an a couple of holes are been aerated so the fairways are chopped up and full of holes.
It's fine...I go out with my friends and still have a lot of social fun! Life is too short, get out now.
Enjoy :-)
had a great time
i can't wait for the summer time....the course have been renovated & it's a big improvement from 2-4 years ago....definitely will go back as long as we get a deal from golfnow!
Good course
Wide open course.....not much of a challenge for good golfers.....very good greens and excellent staff
Could use upgrade rental clubs
Great relaxing day out
a bit noisy because of the airport and the course could be in better shape but it is january :)
Good Practice Course
Good course to play, they are making improvements all the time, plus they have four tee locations for all levels of players.
Good value as a beginners course
Good for beginners. Long, straight holes with minimal hazards and small chance of losing balls. Generally good greens conditions but muddy in stretches. Lower on the scenery variety but fees can't be beat for a full 18.
Interesting Layout
If the price is right it's worth playing. I would not play at full rate.
Sunday Golf
The biggest complaint was the pace of play. When we arrived we checked in with the Marshall. We had a 10:45 tee time but we were ready to go at 10:20, usually this is a good thing play when ready; however, the front nine was completely backed up two foursomes in front and three foursomes behind us. We were waiting all afternoon. Not once did a Marshall come around to speed up the groups in front.
The airport next door was distracting but not a deal breaker. Also the course was in good shape. Lots of sand, trees and water features.
Pace of play definitely sucked the fun out of the 4.5 hr Sunday round.
less than average course
Last time we played, it was very disappointing. The bad smell were very bad, really take your energy out. Because, fresh air are gone. Dirty water on the lagoon.
Skywest a nice outing
Flat, wide-open, relatively easy course. Good for walking. When I played , it was soggy from over watering. The greens were pretty slow. Course is located at the north end of a small airport runway. Friendly staff. A small restaurant attracts local clientele.
easy nice course
It was nice course.
the green need a more management.
The course plays long with great landscaping.
The greens were in excellent condition. Because of the water shortage we played with relaxed rules in the fairways, and that helped with some of the bald spots.
