Cottonwood Golf Club - Ivanhoe Course

My friend and I played on memorial day. Right out the gate the price for that day was to high for the course. The course has never been great, but it was OK priced for everyday play. So after check in, we had to wait for about 20 minutes just to get a cart. Then the course was running late so we started 20 minutes late as well. It just went down hill from there. Pace of play was horrible. On the turn there were people lined up just to get carts. It seems like the ownership has just stopped carrying. The owners are trying to seen the course. The course could be great, if the owners wanted it to be. I like playing there cause there are usually good times available.

I traveled from AZ and hoped to play a round of golf while in California. Upon my arrival, there were a lot of golfers atanding around, waiting to start their round. Upon inquiring in the pro shop, I learned that the course was backed up and behind about an hour. The reason provided was that there were no carts for golfers to start their round. I ended up being at the end of a long line of people requesting refunds, which thankfully were provided. I was further informed that there was about 20 carts needing repair, resulting in an inadequate number of golf carts. Anyway, the course is on my bam list, which I would encourage anyone reading this to do the same.

A pleasant Wednesday afternoon was had by all.....the pace was good, It's a nice place, looking good as can be for this time of year. Fairways were overall ok, some tough spots in places. Greens were ok too, fixed a lot o marks out there tho....gotta do that to keep em playable....keep it nice out there for my next round....

However, I disappointed that they requested to pay the cart fee again even if I already paid it at golfnow website. It is not cancelled until now. It is difficult to understand this situation now.

Still getting better, great place to play for the money. Kevin is the best in pro shop.

This course was a bit of a drive which was ok. The greens were super slow for a Friday round, decent shape (no burnt spots for being where it was), but dreadfully slow. Grass fringe around the greens was the nicest I saw all day as the fairways were ok but spotty with bare areas. Could be a very great deal if they would give the greens more attention.

You can tell this course was once a really nice place to play. The lack of a proper range to warm up and the condition of their “practice facility” leave a lot to be desired. The carts were not in great condition. I ended up having to give my cart to another when their cart died and no one would answer their calls. Eventually at the turn they rectified the cart problem but the club house should have answered the phone. The bunkers left a lot to be desired and were in poor condition at best.

The greens were in constant and have what appeared to be clover patches. All around I don’t believe this course was worth the $75 I paid. I will not be returning.

It's lookin' really good out there going into August. A few bad spots here and there but fairways are playable.......had a ton of Long putts so i know the greens are good, don't be afraid of the downhill putts, not as fast as it looks.....had a bad day off the tee and after a tip from my playin' partner i was down the middle the last few holes......very pleasant!!!!

The course conditions are great, although the cart paths could use updated to all concrete.

The carts are minimal and pretty ran down. Most of the carts available have rips in the seats, or the breaks don’t work.

The driving range is next to the 9th hole offering no protection to golfers teeing off. The end of the range is at the bridge between 8 & 9.

All tee boxes are well taken care of, and green.

Every green was very nice.

At least 95% of the fairways are in good condition.

Overall I will golf here again in the future.

They're understaffed and not accommodating to clients. We were delayed getting our carts and unable to start at our tee time. Starter was initially absent at tee box and clueless on registered players. Pace of play was backed up and the cart we had died midway through play. I won't be returning.
