Well designed course, but the temporary greens have shortened it considerably. However, management has the price right for the conditions and it was still a challenging day. The fairways are in great shape, the cuts are just long enough to make for a tricky approach if you miss the short stuff.

The layout of the course is nice, you have your elevation changes and forced draws or fades from the tee. There is some love that needs to be shown to the course and since the new management team took over, they are taking some steps. They are replacing the greens, used to be Bentgrass and now they are going to Championship Bermuda so you might want to wait for them to come in fully before playing. They need to revamp the 2nd hole tee box back tee box as it does not get enough light for the grass to stay. The 4th hole back tee box is always soggy, again not a lot of light coming through. But outside of that, I think if you give it more time it will get better. I enjoy the course a lot, it is a good course for the money you pay. The greens are what I really like, subtle undulations and usually are somewhat quick, but they will be even quicker when the bermuda fully comes in.

Golfnow website did not say facility had temporary greens. I was informed by faclity staff, but by then it was too late to play anywhere else. Got soaked by sprinkler system going from green to tee on more than one hole.

Currently using temporary greens on all 18 holes. The pace of play was under 4 hours. The staff is very courteous and professional. The range is great but the short game practice area and putting green were closed. When the new greens come in the course will be back up to its normal high rating.

You will need to wait to play this course. Reseeded greens.

I've played here in the past and the course has been in excellent condition however this time it was not. They were replacing the greens so it was all temporary greens which would have been fine but the whole time we were out there they had the sprinklers on which was terrible since they hit the temporary greens and on some holes the actual hole was filled with water. Personally temp greens are bad enough but to add the sprinklers to the mix the whole time I do not want to return to this course.

All of the greens at Apalachee were under replacement, and temporary greens were made in the fairways. I feel GolfNow should relay this info to its customers, to prevent future bad reviews.

I would not have booked this tee time had I known the condition of the course. The greens at Apalachee will not be ready to play for at least 9 weeks.

GolfNow failed to mention that this course is currently in the process of changing to Champion Bermuda greens. All 18 play to temporary greens. As of 7/7/14.

Trophy Club of Apalachee used to be one of my favorite courses. I am not sure what happened to the management, but the course was in terrible condition. Tee boxes were awful, green was completely dried (DEAD). Sounds like they will be on temp green starting 7/7/2014. Will try again next year.

The course seemed crowded for a weekday, and the players in front of my group were both slow and unaware of basic golf etiquette.
The players ignored course guidelines (cart path only) and did some damage to wet fairways.
The course and facility staff were great!

One of the nicest course I've ever played, but also the toughest course I've ever played. I would not recommend this course for beginners. Most fairways are narrow with trees lining both sides. The greens were fast and hard, it was difficult to get the ball to stick. However, overall condition of the course was great. I can't wait to go again.

Short but sweet, loved the par 3's most fairways are wide enough to keep it in play. The Greens rolled very well, a good test of your short game on the greens.

Greens are in great shape. If they could re level green# 5 then it would be a great course.
Too challenging to get to the green, then to have the green be at such a slop that any chip from the top rolls off the green on the other side.

absolutely beautiful course especially for the money the staff was very friendly there's a cooler already attached to the golf carts very very happy with the scores and we'll be playing again

I have played this course many times, and always found it to be in great shape - particularly the greens. This trip was dis-heartening - greens were bumpy, many of the bridges and cart paths were in disrepair.

That being said - my green fee was very reasonable and I believe it is well worth what I paid. Would like to see it closer to it's previous glory.

I've been playing here for years and this course remains the same-staff is always great and welcoming, and the course and greens are always in above average condition. Its not one of your high end $50-$75 per round courses but it is not priced that way either. Most courses at this price point you dont know what you'll get unless you play there consistently, not TC apalachee, they always deliver. Also, for grass driving ranges always one of the best around.

Played many times...3rd since spring areation.

The good...greens have recovered, and rolling smooth...better than the practice green today. Not peak speed, so uphill you can give it go and not worry much about the comebacker...made several putts today. Collar cut is in full and nicely cut.

Fairways are filling in nicely, pretty firm.

Pace of play was very good...3some in 4 hrs on a Sat.

The bad...nothing terrible but notable...a couple of fairways have dead areas that probably should be played as GUR imo...also a couple of bare tee boxes...may need to resod with a more shade tolerant grass.

Short course overall, good mix of short scoring holes mixed with some very difficult holes...but not the most player friendly design, requires a few times around to score @ your index.

The fairways and greens were nice and in good shape. Players there need to do a better job of repairing their ball marks on the green, but the greens rolled nicely. The tee boxes on the other hand need some work. You have to move around a number of the boxes to find a flat lie. There were a few tee boxes that need some help with the grass, as they were quite bare. Aside from the teeing area, it is a nice track. I will play again.
