Turkey Creek Golf Club
About
Turkey Creek Golf Club in Lincoln sprawls across rolling hills that are covered with mature oak forests. The back nine even closely resembles Germany's Black Forest. The centerpiece of the course is the old granite quarry that was transformed into an expansive lake that comes into play on the third and final holes. The golf course is formidable, testing golfers with blind shots and uneven lies, but the challenges are nicely balanced by long, open fairways. Water comes into play several times throughout as well as the towering trees that blanket the landscape. The course will keep golfers on their toes but there is plenty of visual respite available. Players can often catch a glimpse of the abundant wildlife that call Turkey Creek Golf Club home, including deer, quail, foxes, and of course, wild turkeys.

18th tee box, with a few elevation changes and water on the left. If you feel confident, slug it off to the left and clear the water, putting you in a great position for a second shot to the green Photo submitted by copz1998 on 07/20/2018

It's alright
You can usually get 18 here for a pretty good price but it would be cool if they took a little better care of the fairways.
Perfect greens
Course in in great shape great pace of play and greens are especially awesome since they have firmed them up and started mowing then a little shorter.. putts aren't so influenced by grain.
One of My Favorites
Turkey Creek is an awesome course to play for the money, there is always a great deal on this course, fairways are pretty good, greens role great, there are some challenging holes and some fairly easy holes, i really love all the par 3's, hole 3 and 18 are my favorites. If you are looking for a really fun round of golf, take the drive to Turkey Creek.
Great Day
The course was in pretty good condition considering we played it in February. The greens could be better--too hard, didn't hold with chips and close pitches, and difficult to read. Otherwise, we had a great time
Did not advertise shotgun start. Round took 6 hours
Paid online for a round. The tee time neglected to specify it was a shotgun start. And they loaded up all 18 holes. Won’t be coming back.
Great winter golf location,
This course is always a great place to golf, especially during winter months. It has very well maintained greens, fairways and tee boxes. Course plays fair, there are some challenges but you can play safe and still end with a great score.
Nice challenging course
The course was in good shape even in the middle of winter and was challenging for our foursome.
Always a great natural setting
The course was set up well. The fairways did not have enough grass. I realize the grass dies in the winter but it should at least leave some foliage to prevent hitting from bare spots so many times. Green were rolling very well and the traps were groomed.
Tough track but fun
This was a challenge for me and my golf buddy .
1st time playing here which makes it even tougher. You need to know where to land the ball on most holes. Greens in great shape and fast baby....had a few to many 3 jacks. We look forward to coming back and trying again. I am a 7 and shot a 85. Could probably shave a few off that just with some course knowledge. If you’re a first timer to the course I would recommend playing with a turkey creek veteran. The layout is very fun and takes imagination
Great Course; Great value
Played the course in December. Greens and fairways in great shape. I am always shocked how different the course plays from yhe different tee boxes. I am a 10 handicap and normally play from Blues but I played from White this time and I uncovered a whole new group of challenges.
Don't let the lack of yardage fool you. This is on of the toughest courses in the Sacramento area
Nice Course. Don't understand the play pace.
The greens are fast. The course provides challenging turns and twists around which to guide your ball. So, we thoroughly enjoyed the course.
The pace of play was quite slow. I understand the normal course time is 4:20. Took us close to 5:00 hours and the marshalls didn't seem at all interested in moving play along. The foursome in front of us seemed more interested in fishing balls out of the ponds than moving on. As the days are now shorter, unreliable play times with no help from the staff reduces the enjoyment.
I love this course!
Great layout, awesome greens, beautiful course in natural scenery! Great tee box choices I love it!
Keep Coming Back For Turkey Creek
I cant stay away from Turkey! The usual every few months, came out about 120 miles to meet a Sac friend, and Turkey always pleases! What a course, cant say enough, the dormant grass bermuda is there now and will green up soon. Only the color of this course changes while the course remains the same. Greens were very consistent speed, same as putting green. We play the Black tees, and the course looks and feels every bit the same as some of the private clubs in the area and for a better price. This course reminds me of Spyglass Hill and the Del Monte forest on some holes...very picturesque golf course. I have said it before and will say it again, I would love to have this place as a home course.
