Enjoyed it!

I had not played at Corica since the renovation and was glad I made the effort to get there. Certainly worth the greens fee on a GolfNow hot deal, although the standard rates are a bit steep compared to neighbors.

Large, undulating greens ensure two putts are not a given, but overall the layout is fair and provides a challenge for any golfer. Not too many places for inexperienced players to lose balls, but the wind and many bunkers give good players plenty to think about.

The front nine has good variety including the well-bunkered short par 3 fifth hole and the drive-able par 4 eighth. I found the back nine more challenging, with the long par 3 eleventh and par 4 twelfth both requiring solid tee shots. Two short but narrow par 4s follow, before the fun par 4 fifteenth. After 15, you turn back towards the clubhouse--and in our case into a stiff early afternoon wind that made 17 and 18 play very long and required solid approach shots.

The pace was brutally slow mid-day on a Thursday, waiting on every tee box and some approaches. I'm not sure if that is a regular occurrence or if there was an outing or league in front of us.

Alameda South

Great course fun layout greens in excellent condition. A little slow would’ve liked the Ranger to push the group in front of us they were a hole and a half behind, but otherwise great outing

Great course, slow

Just reset your expectations for pace of play. 4 hours on a Friday morning? No way.

Beautiful greens!

Course was beautiful, very unique layout, something you don’t see in the Bay Area really. Greens were absolutely pure, very firm, fast and challenging. Rolled true all throughout the day, pace of play was a little slow but expected as due to the size of the facility and the traffic it gets. Definitely recommend and look forward to coming back.

Great Course

The course was very well organized., my reason for less than five stars is the price. $111.00 a round is more than I want to pay for a course close to home.

First timer here

Corica was recommended by a friend who lives near by. The. Purse is link style and has cart paths with what seems like walnut shells. Very cool. The lace of play was fine in that every hole was no more than 2 minutes or so waiting for the group in front hit there second shot. The greens were fast, fairways tough but manageable. That last hole on 18 was described as a potato chip in slope and look. He wasn’t kidding. If you weren’t careful, you were off in no time.

Great Public Course

The course has links style greens and traditional fairways. The course is well maintained with very firm fairways and greens. The greens are fast and undulating and are very difficult. Bunkers are good for a public course. You won’t be disappointed playing this golf course.

Worth it for twilight, full price is hard to justify for this course

$63 feels just about right to play this course, not because it's poorly kept or anything but because of the lack of amenities. Beverage carts rarely seen, forget about a marshal/ranger doing the rounds, there is maybe 1 or 2 ball washers on the course if any, its driving range is very meh, and to practice chipping enjoy your 1/4 mile walk from the 18 hole clubhouse to behind the 9 hole course (seriously, how is this even possible?). Course design is nice, greens were true and pretty quick which was fun. But to charge over $100 for prime slots? No shot. Just drive extra and go play Poppy Ridge
