Nice Course
It's a very nice course, especially for the price! i'll be going back. It's the firs time we played here and there are some challenges and hidden areas that would be good to know about before teeing off. The water hazards are good, but I would have played it a little differently if I would have known the layout better. The staff and everyone was very nice! Definitely going back.

Very unusual course
Monterey Pines is a hidden gem. The most difficult part of it is finding the course. For a public course it is in fabulous condition and well maintained.It is owned by a branch of the military which may explain the great maintenance.The greens are some of the most difficult I have ever played. If you look at the score card the course is short but it is not easy.

Monterey pines is a great golf course. The fairways are great, the greens are in good shape, the layout is friendly. The staff is friendly and the food and drink are great too. The pines is my kind of place and you can’t beat the price.

Great value
This course has it's challenges, but still offers chances for reasonable scores. It's long enough so that you can use driver most of the par 4's, (my drives average 220-230), using a short iron into the greens. This is a well maintained Navy owned course, best value on the Monterey peninsula.

A steal.....
For the money, it's a steal! Ride, 18 holes, on a weekend for $40.00 through GolfNow. Amazing. I am 63 and 7,000 yard courses are too much. Monterey Pines is just the ticket. Enjoy.
