Excellent course conditions and really fun layout! The greens were faster than Pebble Beach! I played in less than 3 hours! The staff was great as well! A must play while in Monterey!

A real deal.
Great place to work on your game with little money spent. Try the Club Sandwich in the snack shop when you are done. It a real deal and truly delicious .

Great day
My only issue is the cart fee required even when on cart is used by 2 golfers. Both are charged a full cart cost

small but challenging
This course is a short course, but offers the average golfer the opportunity to use a variety of shots, and clubs. The greens are in good shape, and roll very well. Tees and fairways are also in good shape. This course can get interesting when the wind comes up and can provide an interesting challenge.

Short course great greens good times
I went out around noon Thursday and had a blast. Very few people playing. The greens were nice as usual. Sand traps were in decent shape. Caught up to a few slow groups but still finished in under 3 hours. Some tough pin placements but was fun. A lot of road construction on my way to the golf course so allow extra time.

Nice Course
It's a very nice course, especially for the price! i'll be going back. It's the firs time we played here and there are some challenges and hidden areas that would be good to know about before teeing off. The water hazards are good, but I would have played it a little differently if I would have known the layout better. The staff and everyone was very nice! Definitely going back.

Very unusual course
Monterey Pines is a hidden gem. The most difficult part of it is finding the course. For a public course it is in fabulous condition and well maintained.It is owned by a branch of the military which may explain the great maintenance.The greens are some of the most difficult I have ever played. If you look at the score card the course is short but it is not easy.

Monterey pines is a great golf course. The fairways are great, the greens are in good shape, the layout is friendly. The staff is friendly and the food and drink are great too. The pines is my kind of place and you can’t beat the price.
