Reasonably good condition, compact and a bit too flat
The course was in reasonably good condition but quite busy.. There is not a lot of relief in the course with only a couple of holes with slopes. The course is quite compact, which makes it a bit unattractive but ideal to practice your game if practice is what you want. Facilities are reasonable with a good pro-shop, range and bar with food. All staff we met were very friendly.

always in good shape, new sand in bunkers
been playing the pines for years, great course, lots of fun, have nothing bad to say about it, will still be playing it for years to come

Great pace & well groomed fairways
As intermediate golfers, we were able to play this course in 3 1/2 hours. The fairways and greens are well groomed as bunkers and water hazards add to the joy of play.

Sleeper
Super fun course. Conditions were excellent, greens immaculate. Course layout was cool, not extremely long and more of a thinking course versus bombs away. Would play again and again

Great round
Pines never let's you down. Another 18 holes on a course that is in very good condition. A couple of military fighter jets took off from the Monterey airport and went supersonic right over the course loud but cool. This is the best value in golf on the peninsula.

Great value
Course is in really good condition...we had no one behind us for 18 holes starting at 11 a.m. Par 3s are short...some par 4s are quite long. Water on the back 9 eats balls.

Fun course, cold weather
We really like playing here and have many times. But Friday the fog and wind took over. We were cold and had to wear too many clothes. And the pace of play was ssslllooowww.
