Copper Canyon Golf Club - Lake/Mountain Course

Troon is known for quality golf courses, however, the bunkers were an embarrassment. They would not be acceptable on a muni course. When the course conditions cause you strokes, that is not good.

Great course that weaves through the neighborhood. Staff were very friendly and helpful, course was in great condition with forgiving holes. Had a great experience!

First time I have played Copper Canyon and I was not disappointed. I was looking for a quality round of golf with good customer service and an acceptable pace of play. That is exactly what we got. Copper Canyon was well managed and well maintained. Staff was great from the bag drop to the ranger keeping the pace of play on time. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes were all consistent. Thank you for a nice round of golf.

I come down every spring, this is only course that I play at least once while I'm here.fair but very challenging from the copper tees.. must play!!

Course was excellent but restaurant/bar under staffed. After round couldn't get served so left facility to go out for dinner.

We really enjoyed our outing at Copper Canyon. One member of our group hadn't played here before, but will definitely come back. Pace of play was excellent, and we found the course was in excellent shape... We'll be back again..

Great layout (except for the distance between some tee boxes), nice views, well designed and a fair challenge IF you play from the right tees! Woman friendly.

it was a very enjoyable round of golf on a well maintained course

My wife and I played the course two days in a row. An afternoon round on January 5th and a morning round on the 6th. My wife is a high handicapper and I play to an 11. The course quality was very good. The tees and fairways were very well maintained. Being winter, the course had been overseeded and so the edges were all inactive. I found the lies on the dead grass were much more difficult to get good contact because the lie tended to be quite thin. There was a nice balance on risk and reward if you can hit your aim line. The greens were fast and very subtle. It took me a while to get the pace and I never felt like I could trust my reads. We were warned to stay out of the fairway bunkers because the lips are high and so they are very penalizing. I learned my lesson the hard way nevertheless. The only complaint I have is the thinness of the sand in some of the green side bunkers I landed in. I and a couple of players I played with ended up blading some shots because our club bounded off the bunker base. I would recommend this course for anyone looking for a quality course on the west side of Phoenix.

Course was in great shape. Had a 2 hour frost delay but the staff was friendly and attentive. The pace of play was awesome. Didn't see the group in front all day. 4 hour round just the way its supposed to be!!!! Thanks

I live out here in the West Valley and have played every course and this course is my favorite. I never get tired of playing it. This summer it has been in awesome condition. They have done a great job this year. I played yesterday and even though they are preparing for overseeding, the course was still in good shape and the greens were soft. I rarely play this course in the fall/winter due to the higher cost but in the summer, this is my Sunday afternoon go-to course.

Had a great time again! Paired up with a twosome along the way and we moved along at a nice pace. From the tee boxes to the greens the course was in fantastic shape. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the rate was very reasonable for such a fun course. Beautiful water features and mountain views. I am looking forward to my next round here!

Haven't played the course in 13 months and back then there were no homes on the course. The course was great back then and you guys even made it better. Only golf course I have played this summer where you would have to fix pitch marks and the ball would check and back up. Generous fairways and greens in top notch condition. Staff all top notch including Ken, (who we were partnered with and works there), great guy and ambassador to your facility. Would it be asking to much to move that course about an hour drive to the east.

The staff, the snack bar, everybody is so friendly. The course is just emaculate an the surrounding homes are just beautiful. The course really has a nice since of ambiance about. It's a drive, but very we'll worth it. Hey, it's a Troon course!

Course in great condition. Some of the sand traps in bad shape from the rain storm the week before but overall awesome course to play for our first time. The best course I've played in AZ thus far. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We even got a free lunch and unlimited play for the round as well. The top of my GC list in AZ. Plan to play again in the near future.

I was called by the course starter. Course was closed because of the storm. Was unable to play. Will try and use the paid round next week.

This is an awesome course. Well worth the ride. I would recommend it to anyone. The views are beautiful.

It's a Troon Course. I have never played a Troon course that wasn't in top condition. The greens were the fastest I have played on in a good while. They also held shots well and I had to actually repair a few ball marks! The cart attendant was very helpful, as it was our first time playing this course. It now moves to the very top of my list of favorite courses in the Phoenix area.

Played this course for the first time in Aug and it is the nicest course in the West Valley for sure. Fairways are very forgiving and the greens are very large. There is not a lot of break on the green but they are protected by a lot of sand which makes it challenging. These were the best greens I've played all summer and I play every week. Every approach shot bit well which is very unusual for a AZ summer. They treat you extremely well here.
