Situated within the Oakland Hills, Lake Chabot Golf Course offers stunning views that stretch across Oakland, Bay Bridge, and the Lake Chabot area. The course has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1932. Slight changes have been made over the years to improve the layout but it has always maintained its playability. The terrain is hilly, which makes flat lies hard to find. Accuracy and precise shot placement will get you far. The stretch of holes from the 15th to the finish has the best scenery on the golf course. From the risk-reward 15th hole, you can see all the way to San Francisco. The unique final hole is a par 6 that plays to a whopping 673 yards from the back tees. It's a straight, downhill hole with a memorable view.

A beautiful course to enjoy

I have been really looking forward to playing this course and it didn't disappoint. There has been a lot rain in the Bay Area, but the course was in great condition. The scenery was amazing and the 9th hole was a treat! If you ever have a chance to play a round of golf while you're in Bay Area, try this course.

From a golfers stand point they shouldn’t charge full price when course is in poor condition. As a group we lost 15 golf balls in the fairway.

Were not open on Dec. 25th

I called the pro shop on December 24th to confirm that they will be open on December 25th. The guy at the pro shop told me they were not open on that day nor are they open on Mondays. I reserved the tee time through golf now when I tried to get a refund they are now saying they were open on that day and golf now will not refund me. So either the guy on the 24th lied to me or the guy that golf now contacted is lying do not trust this course our golf now.

Nice local course.

Mostly fair… lots of elevated T boxes and elevated greens… wide fairways to hit into. The greens had just been aerated so they were not in the best condition .
