The Areas best
The "new" course (Piper) is just outstanding, Type of course you could play every day and never get bored and hit different shots. Seriously long from the back tees, but a great selection of distances to make it playable for all. A couple of LONG par 5's. #2 at 646 and #10 at 615. Some amazing (for Florida) elevation changes on many holes, not a bad par 3 from ANY tees. This can be a difficult but FAIR golf course, careful to pick the right tees and you will have a great day, Lakewood National is THE premier facility in this area, Tour quality practice facility and TWO outstanding courses with greens that are superb and can run REAL fast (12+)
Great Track
This layout is challenging and long even from the 3rd box. On a windy day it could be challenging from the Friendly tees!
Nice course
Challenging course in excellent condition. The staff is helpful and friendly.
Value just not there
We get the covid 19 precautions. But with mask and gloves on could you tell us to put the bags on ourselves? You cannot hit to many practice balls before or go there to early, they don’t like it! You can’t putt to early either, 12,000 sq ft green-go figure. No scorecards but you want me to touch the screen 50 times! Not a drop of water anywhere. Piper is forgiving course, play front edge yardage cause it’s hard as a rock. Not allowed at Tiki Bar so for apres’ golf go elsewhere or in other words “We want your daily fee money but get off the property when you are done”!!! As the title says the relationship value to price is lopsided towards Lennar.
Great course
Great course but stopped after 9 due to inclement weather.
Windy but nice
It's almost always windy playing either course at Lakewood National but great courses. Greens were lightly sanded but rolled good and fast as usual.
Piper is a fun challenge
I'm a resident / member. I play once per week. The course is in great condition. Many challenging holes and a few easy ones to help your score. It always seems to be breezy on the Piper Course as the homes haven't been built up around it yet. The pace is great as most golfers prefer the Commander Course. Try Piper, you'll like the more you play it. Tees, fairways and greens are all excellent.
Good layout
First time playing the Piper course and even though we got rained on four times it’s still a great layout. I will have to go back and play it when it’s dry.
Tough course, but fair enough if you choose the correct tees.
In really good condition for a new course. Nice combination of links style and parkland style holes.
Piper Course
The slope ratings are way off. Blue Tees are 117. Must be reevaluated. Very difficult when windy. Does not compare to Commander Course. Needs time to mature
Piper Play
2nd time here greens still hard but thats to be expected
needs more trees or depth perception focal points
COVID-19 Golf Outing
I've played this track 3 times now...never has let me down. Only complaint was about water/ice/amenities today... Course did a great job adapting to the 'pandemic', (cups out of hole, no sand rakes, etc), but they did not communicate ahead of time that there would be no cart girl running, nor any ice or water available on the course. That sucked. We were ready to drink from the ponds by number 8. But at least the course was nice!
Corona virus set a strange atmosphere
Exelent fairways and greenred was friendly.s. No resturants etc becuse of situation with virus. The few staf we encounte
Played after 2 pm I thought rates where to high compareabley.
