Timber Creek
Course was in good condition and greens were fantastic. Some of the pin placements were tough for a weekend and close to edges but overall the course was good. Would def play again. Bunkers need to be raked and have the sand actually play like sand and not hard pan. That was the only issue.
Yes to Timber Creek
From tee to green, this course is immaculate. I had zero complaints about anything here - a great golfing experience.
Crowded
The club house and practice facilities were extremely nice. The course was in great shape and the greens were fast but still soft enough to hold an approach shot.
But the whole front 9 and half of the back are lined by houses. People were out enjoying their backyards as they should, but it was very distracting. Where there isn’t a row of houses there is a busy road, several of which you have to cross to traverse holes. Pace of play was horrible. The last 5 holes we had two groups waiting on each tee.
If you want a course in nice shape that will make you think, this is your place. If you want to relax for a few hours and enjoy being outdoors, this is definitely not your place.
Course and greens
Course in good shape but greens were terrific.
No waiting thru out the whole round. Enjoyed the day.
One comment: the WHITE Ts were up way too far.
So played gold as a change.
Best Golf Course in The Area
Timbercreek is by far the best course in the Sacramento Roseville Area I love playing here
Great course but the restaurant was too busy to take care of us.
We had a great time on course and the staff in the pro shop was excellent. After the round we sat down for drinks and some food. They dropped off a single drink menu for the 4 of us and we waited for the waitress to come back and she never did. The table was in the sun so we moved it in, well it was close to the door so they asked us to move it so we did. One person was still close to the door so one of the waiters flung open the door and bounced it off my buddies chair (while he was still in it) most definitely on purpose. Then he barked at us again to move the table so we moved it with more clearance. They were hecka rude so we left, It was really disappointing.
Enjoyed playing on this very well maintained course.
Excellent condition and pace of play
Always enjoy this course. Great condition, was supposed to rain so nobody on the course, played in ess than 3 hours. Typically takes about 4.
Sun City = Fun City
Fantastic course. Love this place. Lot’s of fun. Highly recommended.
The course was well maintained. The temperature was in the mid-‘50’s but
It was very cold with overcast. Finished the round in less than 4 hours. Large undulating greens were quite deceiving to result in the high 80’s, although I haven’t lost any ball.
Maybe a good course to play with seniors and ladies mixed games. Definitely will return when the weather is warmer. Not a good weather for an 80 years old man with only one good eyesight and AMD ,that’s Age associated Macular Degeneration. Thanks GolfNow for getting the premier courses like this one, Turkey Creek and Lincoln Hills recently. We enjoyed the games at all of theses courses. Thanks.
Short but challenging
It was my first time playing here & I’m impressed at how the course is laid out. Even from the tips, the entire course yardage was only about 6700 yards. But, don’t let the total distance fool you, the course has character, quite a few holes with water in play (at both sides of the fairway), doglegs, an island green par 3, this course has it all to challenge even the lower handicapped players. I would definitely come back here & play in the near future.
Thanks for the info. I'll think twice before moving a table and chairs as to obstruct the entry way and servers.
