Rancho Solano Golf Course sits midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, a location that makes it easily accessible from all the cities in the Bay Area. The course sprawls across hilly terrain, providing the layout with elevated tees and dramatically undulating greens. It is a tough course to walk but it's possible. Sparkling lakes dot the hills, coming into play on a few holes. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The expansive greens offer some room for error but pin placement is still important. The first three holes on the back nine are some of Rancho Solano Golf Course's most challenging, especially the par-4 11th hole. Club selection is the key to this hole or you might lose your ball to the lake and even once you do seemingly reach safety, there are still bunkers backing the large green.

Cart person
They need 2 carts. Takes a long time to get water or whatever you need. Only complaint.
Beautiful Course
Good value through golf app. Course was in great condition
Great conditions, both the fairways and greens.
This course is in great shape for a public, city owned, course.
Good but windy on the course
Even though it was extremely windy, I had a great time playing the course again. As always the course was in great shape and we were able to finish in 4 hours. I liked the fact that the course posts a pace of play sign when you sign in and that the marshals are checking on the groups, something very few courses I play do.
Really Nice Course
This is a well kept and beautiful course. Played from the blue tees and found it challenging. Real mix of elevation changes. Stay below the hole when putting! Pro shop staff and cart girl were fantastic. Would definitely return here.
A Great Day of Golf
The course was in excellent condition; pin placements varied throughout the course; pace of play was a bit slow (4 hrs 50 min) and waited at all the par 3s, but it didn't feel that bad.
Greens were in excellent condition, running true, fast, and undulating as usual!
Overall a great golf day!
Big and smooth greens
Great course great value and the rakes for the sand traps are back and you can remove the flags if you want to just don’t let the big greens fool you it rolling well and fast

Glad to be back
I had not played Rancho Solano in a few months I am soooooo glad we played there yesterday....golf course is in great shape, love those greens....definitly a must play.....
As always ... course in great condition!
Never have an issue with course conditions at Rancho Solano. Greens were near perfect. Only thing was green fees were a little high, but this seems to be the normal since the COVID pandemic started. I definitely will be back, especially if I can find a good deal on the green fees.
Perfect Coditions
Had a 6:30 AM tee-time. The coarse was in perfect condition. It looked like tourney conditions because the fairways were manicured and the greens were rolled very nicely. Our foursome finished in 3.5 hrs.
Filipino league
They grouped me with the Filipino league and the league refused to let me play. I drove 30 minutes each way and no golf. All I got was a refund and lost my 2.49$ booking fee. Course management is questionable.
