About
Rancho Solano Golf Course sits midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, a location that makes it easily accessible from all the cities in the Bay Area. The course sprawls across hilly terrain, providing the layout with elevated tees and dramatically undulating greens. It is a tough course to walk but it's possible. Sparkling lakes dot the hills, coming into play on a few holes. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The expansive greens offer some room for error but pin placement is still important. The first three holes on the back nine are some of Rancho Solano Golf Course's most challenging, especially the par-4 11th hole. Club selection is the key to this hole or you might lose your ball to the lake and even once you do seemingly reach safety, there are still bunkers backing the large green.

Golfer Reviews
Fun Layout with Big Greens
Good shape! Fun layout with pretty wide fairways and big greens.
1st tee time
Teed off at 6:44 with another single and a young couple. The young lady was a beginner so after the 1st hole we asked if we could go ahead of them. They were quite gracious. The course is in great shape, maybe a little wet. Greens are back and beautiful. I actually played fairly well. We ended up playing in 2 :45. Can’t wait to play again at Rancho Solano.
Gem of a course!
I really enjoyed my round at Rancho Solano. The layout has a lot of character but was still very playable. The greens are HUGE and in great shape. This may be my new favorite course.
My favorite local course
I give this course 5 Stars....
Course Conditions
Great conditions even though the greens were recently punched they were smooth just a little slow.
Airrated greens the day I went
The greens were aerated the day I went but everything else was fairly nice. I would recommend to a friend to play there but in the future when the greens are back to normal!
Great Day
What a day to play golf. Teed off @ 8:00am and finished around 12:15. It was a beautiful day, the course is in great shape. The greens are massive and of course my approaches left me miles away from the pin. For the 1st time playing I have to say I love the course and will be back. Wish the courses in Alameda County were like this course.
