About
Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Golfer Reviews
Dangerous and Awful
The worst course I’ve ever played, terrible conditions and my cart looked like it was hot wires. Golfers and tee boxes and greens are way to close to each other and it causes a lot of dodging out of the way of wayward shots. Someone is going to get killed on this course.
Mediocre
The greens are the greatest asset at this course. It’s a very challenging course which is why the pace of play is not great (many people spending time looking for their balls or trying to fish them out of the river that is the main hazard at this course). The fairway conditions are not great with many bare or burned out patches. The fairways are also very tight. There are homeless encampments nearby or on the banks of the river near the bridges.
Waste of tine
The pace of play is horrible, as is the overall condition of the course and facilities. This place needs a major overhaul.
The second tee box is a target landing area for errant shots from the first tee box. Our group, which was waiting for 2 groups in front of us saw several balls cone our way. When our group was up, there were 2 balls that landed within 10 feet of where we were standing, even with net guarding the 2nd tee box.
Stay away unless you’re in a pinch for a cheap round.
Great morning again
Greens great
Fairways so so
Tees not so good
Pace of play excellent
Eyesore
Encountered abandoned garbage (more than litter) and homeless people in various spots on the course. Cart paths were sandy and slippery, and electric carts would sometimes surge at dangerous spots on bridges and sharper turns. Green were in good shape, but the rest was just fair-to-mediocre. Many aspects of this course seem to be in neglect.
Solid early round on a Sunday
Greens were in great shape, river was full due to recent rains, which makes some tee shots much more difficult. Great value for the OC
Good value bit a little unique
My first time playing here and I knew very little about the course. The holes on the river were very quirky as you'd often times have a good drive that would land in the fairways and run off into the river. Greens were in pretty good shape and ran fast in spots. Fairways and tees were okay with some bare spots. Bunkers were a little all over the place but for the most part had a decent amount of sand. If your looking for a good value for a decently long course, then this is the spot for you. Staff was very friendly and a really nice huge putting green that you can have fun playing with 20-30 holes on it. Range was pretty good but balls weren't great.
Unique course
This was a fun course with a unique layout. Very narrow with firm fairways that run towards the river. Very punishing if you miss right on most holes. Lots of interesting hole layouts, crossing the river on floating bridges about 4 times during the round.
I played here while son a work trip. I was paired with another visitor and a local. Thank god for the local who was able to explain the holes and told us where the same shots were. Very fun to play. My rental clubs were meh, conditions were good, a few rough spots. Value was great.
Would recommend. If I lived near here it wouldn’t be my go to course, but a fun change up now and then.
Greens in great shape
Pace 3.5 hours for 18 holes
Fairways trimmed close and balls roll well in the Fairways.
Some tees in good shape.
Cart paths still need a lot of work(:
Great Condition
I haven’t played here in about a year and it was in great condition. You can tell they are really trying to offer a great course at a fair price. Greens were rolling smooth, nice and full no patches, fairways were in great shape as well. Forgot they had gps in the carts and that was spot on every time I used the rangefinder to compare as well. Will definitely be going back soon
Good value
This course is a go to for me. Always under 45$ with cart and the course is pretty solid. The grass quality is a lot better than the other courses in the area. The pace sometimes gets a little slow but for 40$ you can’t complain.
Terrible pro shop guy! Uncaring to max
Worst pro shop experience ever!
Just needed help with a cab too as wanted cell to stay on airplane mode for many reasons and including having on far too long as per airline lost my luggage and was there from Canada.
Never to return as all was a hassle to him on a simple ask and nobody else was coming into pro shop. He just was on his cell when I entered!
Did capture an amazing pic though at least to share.
Tee boxes were horrible but greens well kept.
Challenging Course
Course had several narrow fairways along the river, no room for error. Elevated greens made it a challenge. Good course maintenance and good pace of play. Lost many balls here. Lots of fun with friends for the price.
