Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Dog leg left
1/3 of this course is the exact same hole. Dog leg left up a hill with no forgiveness on the right. Greens were kept nice though.
Good value
Good value for $45.
Fairways need work.
Greens have good speed but need rolling.
Fun Course
I really like playing here, the green roll good. The price is really good and pace of play could be better
Great greens and fairways...BUT pace was brutal!!!
Great greens and fairways...BUT the pace of play was brutal and MANY of the tee boxes are total disasters! They tend to load up the tee times and the "regulars/locals" seem to think EVERYONE has 5+ hours to play. We waited 3 to 5 minutes on EVERY shot!
Though the course layout may be "different" and interesting to some, I think they just took a crappy piece of useless river bottom and zig-zagged back and forth over it. Boring!
We drove (West) 2 hours to get there and then it took almost 3 hours to play front nine. Facing a 2 to 2.5 hours drive ahead of us in East bound LA rush hour traffic ahead of us, we quit after 9 holes.
They need new golf carts
I always like playing Riverview. We played on 6/19/25. The first cart we were assigned, one of the clamps that hold the strap in place so your golf bag will not fall off the cart was broken off. We were given a new cart. The clamp seemed to be ok on until about the 5th hole when my bag fell off the cart. The clamp that holds the strap would not lock into place. Lucky none of my clubs were damaged. I was able to secure my golf bag to the cart with a bungee cord I had in my bag. I thought maybe it was just my bad luck that the two carts I was assigned had bad clamps until I saw a group in front of us have their bag fall off their cart also. I wonder how many other carts they have do not hold golf bags onto the cart.
beautiful course
I was very satisfied with playing in such a beautiful setting.
It's a tricky layout, but I'm happy with it.
The quality of the grass on both the fairways and greens was excellent.
Beautiful Challenge
This course is growing on me! Played it on 6/16 and it was in GREAT condition! The boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape! It's not a super easy course, some of holes are very challenging, but that's what makes it unique!
My only 2 complaints: Tried to buy a hotdog at the turn (5:30ish) and they had no food :(. And why pull the pins at 7 when it doesn't get dark until 8:30?
Grest value for your money course
We play here a few times a year and are never disappointed....except that they still do not have a liquor license. Other than that, no complaints. 4 hr round, everyone had a birdie with many birdie chances. Hightly recommended.
